I am a troglodyte in many ways. One of the most obvious is my firm refusal to engage in Facebook.

My MIL wanted to friend me. Gak. (As if she could dislike me more!)

So, I do not have a FB account.

My degree program has a facebook page where they go discuss things relevant to the field.

Is it worth joining for that? It's not mandatory.

Should I? Shouldn't I?

Dude. I have no desire to be that plugged in (still don't have a cell phone) and don't want to be that easily accessible.

I'm not on FB either. I've thought about setting up a fan page for pottery stuff to make it easier to communicate sale info and whatever, but don't you have to set up a personal page first?
