Mornin all, and TGIF!

We didn't get much in the way of snow overnight, just enough to put a thin film on the roads and then it was all gone by around 8am. I saw one neighborhood runner out there from my window but I didn't have time to get out this morning. I will go a little later from work, probably 7 or so, probably easy.

Last night was hill training night; I experimented with the "advanced" hill program on my treadmill. Set the max pace at 8.3 which is basically marathon goal pace, max incline at 6% and let the program determine the various segments from that. I'd say I could definitely have done harder as the 8.3 segments ended up being all at 1%, which is my normal "flat" running grade. The 6% segments were at much slower paces. So next time I try this, I will either up the max pace (maybe HM or 10M goal pace) or up the max incline to 8%. Anyway, 6 miles total.

Apple - way to get out there this morning

Dave - interesting race. I guess I'd be geographically in the south, except our part of Virginia sided mostly with the Union. Hmm...

loopy - neither rain nor snow nor sleet nor hail stop you

Dan/Kevin - enjoy the rest days. Interesting sports ticket selection there, Kevin. Would you believe I actually dabbled in gymnastics a little bit when I was a young kid? I wasn't very good though, sucked at the floor and strength exercises but for some reason I was good at the running and jumping stuff (vault, trampoline). Foretelling of my future athletic activities perhaps?

BBS - so I assume the carpeting is a "manly" color?

RA - have a good run later
