Just got back from a week in Scotland, and haven't even scratched the surface of everything that went on around here. We did participate in the Thor Stag Run and festivities.<br><br>
I put a quick 2 miles in snow flurries early in the morning, then later that night we hit a pub to toast Ironboy.<br><br>
The gatekeeper wouldn't let us in until he got a picture:<br><br><img alt="" src="http://pic20.picturetrail.com/VOL1374/5307005/16697060/310473456.jpg" style="border:0px solid;"><br><br>
Then Michele and I wanted in:<br><br><img alt="" src="http://pic20.picturetrail.com/VOL1374/5307005/16697060/310473454.jpg" style="border:0px solid;"><br><br>
Finally the cold ones were present:<br><br><img alt="" src="http://pic20.picturetrail.com/VOL1374/5307005/16697060/310472666.jpg" style="border:0px solid;"><br><br><img alt="" src="http://pic20.picturetrail.com/VOL1374/5307005/16697060/310474581.jpg" style="border:0px solid;"><br><br>
Of course, after the beers were gone someone had to get them back to the room:<br><br><img alt="" src="http://pic20.picturetrail.com/VOL1374/5307005/16697060/310473458.jpg" style="border:0px solid;"><br><br>
A trip to the Highlands is not complete without 1) Searching for Nessie:<br><br><img alt="" src="http://pic20.picturetrail.com/VOL1374/5307005/16697060/310474589.jpg" style="border:0px solid;"><br><br>
or 2) Fish and Chips:<br><br><img alt="" src="http://pic20.picturetrail.com/VOL1374/5307005/16697060/310474777.jpg" style="border:0px solid;"><br><br>
But alas, at some point all trips must end.<br><br><img alt="" src="http://pic20.picturetrail.com/VOL1374/5307005/16697060/310474588.jpg" style="border:0px solid;"><br><br>
Safety first<br><br><img alt="" src="http://pic20.picturetrail.com/VOL1374/5307005/16697060/310474585.jpg" style="border:0px solid;">

Oh. My. God.<br><br>
der Kaiser, that travelogue was AWESOME... I'm still smiling at it. Honestly, I feel as if I were there...<br><br>
A big thanks for tending to the Gatekeeper.<br>
A big thanks for letting michele in on our party... see it was a bachelor party for all fools and better halfs.<br>
A big thanks for the Red Ales... they looked good!<br>
A big thanks to both you and Michele, a mighty fine looking couple I might add, because your smiles told me all I needed to know -- that you guys had a freak'n BLAST!<br>
A big thanks for playing tourist in the land of Scots, yes, including fish and chips!<br>
A big thanks for making sure we traveled well and safe and remained buckled in.<br><br>
And last but not least, a BIG THANKS to both you and Michele, because the pictures show exactly what I would have wanted, and that is that you smiled, had a great time, and laughed over a few beers while seeing the sights and also logging a few healthy miles.<br><br>
der Kaiser, that was special, and funny... thank you!<br><br>
And wait until the Ironmate hears about her little adventure!

Now, it wasn't always fun and games up there. Sometimes there were lines to wait in (queuing for those in country). But that is not too bad if you you are comfy during the wait:<br><br><img alt="" src="http://pic20.picturetrail.com/VOL1374/5307005/16697060/310503156.jpg" style="border:0px solid;"><br><br>
Also, we spent a fair bit of time at the pool, a little too dnagerous for the whole group, as lamination was not available.

That's cool. After having so much fun together -- all of us -- we needed a little "alone" time to 'reaquaint' with each other. And we were okay with being a part because we knew you'd like some too!

And by the way, I LOVE McEwan's! In fact, years ago when I used to hook up with my old brother for our weekend beer sampling fests, we got hooked on it so much that we decided to find a pub nearby who had it on tap. We searched all throughout the area, as we were on a fact finding mission otherwise know as a pub crawl, and just as we were all bleary-eyed and nearly done with our unsuccessful journey -- unsuccessful in the big McEwan's picture sense -- we stumbled into a pub in Davis Square just on the edge of walking distance that had what we sought.

Obviously the "both" refers to mine and Thor's better halves.<br><br>
Thor thought he was squared away to start training full time as he was certain he had spotted the Loch Ness Monster and would get rich endorsing his pictures. But alas he was proved a fake at the last minute.<br><br><img alt="" src="http://pic20.picturetrail.com/VOL1374/5307005/16697060/310506171.jpg" style="border:0px solid;">
