Heme has a bright shiny pretty new avatar! Nice video of the Chili Peppers. That was high energy; no wonder they are so skinny. :)

Hi Gang,

Yes Dave Barry was funny. I hope it is as funny as I'm waiting in the dr's office to get the procedure! :)

My vet called. X rays and blood tests all good. So I'm either nuts or need some cooler weather or a combination of both. No comments required Tom White as I'm already concerned for your intellectual skills. ha!

Nice new picture Heme.

5 rather sproinky miles in the woods this morning, 65° on dirt under the tree canopy, only a little humid, as opposed to the other day's 90° direct sun on pavement and very humid....what a difference. One of the 2 or 3 runs a month that actually makes this worthwhile......and minimal achy stuff too. I even repeated the ala....gator mantra for a while. It's gotta be the cooler weather Ks.

Off to do all the work related stuff I can't get paid for.

GL Rip on the race tomorrow.....this time they'll know who you are.

HI Heme, KS, Gobi, Mike, Johnny, and anybody else doing a long run tomorrow.

I had such fun the other day on the eliptical, I got on my usual machine and cranked up the resistence another couple notches last night.

One good hard hour watching the heartrate steadily climb from 125 to 160. When I hit 160, the party is just about over. That's last mile of

a race effort.

Day off today as I am heading to Indianapolis for a 15k trail race.

My goals are:

1. Don't fall

2. Don't get lost.

3. Don't get disqualified.

I'm going to up the warmup to 3 miles and try to go a little faster right from the start since the race is a little shorter than

my last couple.

Ribs would be proud of your color matching running gear Heme. I liked that song by the RHCP.

Good luck in your race RIP.

It's not what you know; it's who you know. A respiratory therapist office just called and they are going to double check my chest x ray and then call Monday if they will see me. Although this is better; it's still not right.

Hope everything's ok, ks, but it'll be nice to have some answers other than we're all just getting older.

Happy racing, Rip!

Nice avatar, Heme!

Hey Johnny, don't work too hard. Sounds like a nice run.

Hi Mike! Hope Irene doesn't cause too much trouble.

I've been out of touch here for awhile. Just got back from WY/CO trip where I ran the Run With The Horses marathon on Saturday, then DH and I spent some time in CO where he was at a training seminar and I was goofing off. That running at high altitude is sure interesting. Feels almost like running with a tight belt around your chest! Allergies kicked in too so the last couple days were hard. But, it was nice to get away. First run back home was yesterday and I couldn't believe the boost all those new red blood cells provide! 6.3 miles at 7:44 or something like that. Today's run was just 4 easy miles. I've got a cross country 5k race tomorrow that Heme would probably love but the hay bales and piles of sticks that you have to jump just annoy me. Will have to figure out when to fit in another good long run (22 miles) before the Equinox on Sept. 17... this Sunday or next? Decisions...
