Due to popular demand, we're going to launch the next round of the VRAA quickly. Sign up for it here.<br><br>
Teams will be completely reshuffled. I will again use the Mega/Super/Badass/Badass-in-training seeding to even out the teams, but I've got better data to use now, so I expect the teams should be more evenly distributed this time through.<br><br><b>If you played in the last VRAA round:</b> Sign up in this thread. You don't need to tell me whether you're a Mega-Badass or whatever ... I'll categorize you according to how you scored in the most recent game. If you expect to be far more or far less productive in August than you were in July, let me know. But you only need do so if the changes will be dramatic; I don't need to know that you'll be tapering for a week or trying to do more yoga or crap like that.<br><br><b>If you didn't play in the last VRAA round:</b> Sign up in this thread. Playing this game is simple: (1) You work out. (2) You report how much you work out in this forum. (3) Your team gets points and moves its virtual way across America as a result.<br><br><br>
How many points do you earn? Look <a href="http://www.kickrunners.com/forum/showthread.php?t=6451" target="_blank">in this thread</a> for the scoring table. When you sign up, please place yourself in one of the following categories. Make your best guess about what you'll average over the course of the next several weeks and categorize yourself accordingly. You won't be punished if you end up doing more or less (do keep in mind that all the non-running points add up; a lot of cross-trainers and multi-sporters tend to underestimate their productivity).
<blockquote><p>(1) </p></blockquote><b>Mega Super Badass:</b> You're a sizzling chunk of aerobic machinery, earning roughly 200 points per week or more. You run 50+ miles per week, or run 40+ miles per week plus bike 25ish miles per week, or bike 135 miles per week, or walk a 9.5 mile mail delivery route every day plus run like a beast in your free time, etc.
<blockquote><p>(2) </p></blockquote><b>Super Badass:</b> You're hot & sassy. You run 30-50 mpw or the equivalent, earning 120-200 VRAA points per week.
<blockquote><p>(3) </p></blockquote><b>Badass:</b> You are the backbone of the VRAA. No team can win without a solid core of Badassery. You run 15-30 mpw or the equivalent, racking up 60-120 VRAA points per week.
<blockquote><p>(4) </p></blockquote><b>Badass in Training:</b> Maybe you're in one of them long tapers, or you're aspiring to badassery, or you're really busy right now, or you're crosstraining through an injury. Whatever. I love you for who you are, and I respect you for what you do. And what you do is this: earn 0-60 VRAA points weekly for your team. That's up to 15 mpw running, or 40 mpw on a bike, or 6000 yards of swimming, or a few good days at the gym lifting weights and/or tooling around on them machines. To get closer to the low end up the point range, simply up the Cheetos consumption.

i think i am super badass, though alot of this month will be tapering! So maybe just regular bad ass this time around.

Me! <img alt="smile.gif" src="http://files.kickrunners.com/smilies/smile.gif"> I hope to do more in August than I did in July. This week I'm starting training for my 1/2 marathon, so the mileage starts at 19/week and goes up from there.

Sign me up too please. Badass here. Last round I sucked. Personal issues got in the way of running. The worst of it is behind me - was offered a new job in Rochester MN 3 weeks ago, put my house on the market. House sold last weekend. New house bought this weekend. Now I can focus on running again. I gots a marathon to train for! <img alt="biggrin.gif" src="http://files.kickrunners.com/smilies/biggrin.gif">

Can I join?! I am training for a Nov HM and possibly a Sept sprint tri so I should be getting a fair amount of miles logged!!
