I entertained that thought, even if I had to continue by myself. Like with Hunter Thompson, when told that the race he was covering was over, responded "Not for me it isn't!"

It might take Team F until Christmas.

I just think the longer we go the better - operating under the assumption that the whole VRAA thing provides some sort of motivation

were we going to start up another VRAA after the first of the year though? I thought I read that somewhere . . . in which case, I think having a break between VRAA sessions is better.

I'm on team F and I fully intend on sending my points to musicgirl until Christmas because I've been such a sad VRAA participant.

Shhh she doesn't know it yet...

I like the idea of continuing just so we can beat up on Team H but I like that we've followed a route and are nearing completion. My 2 cents.

No. We should stop and let stand.

If we do, it should only be top 3.

We'll be starting a new VRAA soon-- the later this finishes, the later we get the new fun underway.

sorry kewt -- it's been one of those days.

i meant to say yes i agree; i vote to continue until we all cross the finish line.

but since there's tabulation involved (ie work) and other programs to run, i'll understand if the race director decides to close the course.

Nah. There's a VRAA fatigue that sets in. That the race was this close at the end was nice. We've had rounds in the past where it was a runaway -- not as fun for all.

Its nice to refresh and reshuffle the teams.

But yes, the VRAA does provide a motivation. What's touching to me is when I hear the comment that the VRAA is the first time someone has been a part of an athletic team. Hearing this makes it all worth while!

Yes and yes. We'll start anew after a break.

I'm one of those...
It's nice not to be left out just because your're not that talented.
It was an amazing experience.
Even my non-runner DH would ask me how my team was doing. That was cool too that even somebody out of the context totally got the concept.
I am looking forward to the next round and hopefully I'll be injury free and do a better job.
The break will be a good thing for now.

That's fabulous to hear!

And I'll argue the statement that you're not that talented. Not so.

If you don't mind, I'm going to paste this response in the the "testimonials" thread. Thanks for playing and being the contributor that you are!
