Shoe mileage poll

I know this has been asked ad nauseum, but I'm curious. How long do your shoes usually last (mileage wise)? Mine don't seem to do very well past about 200 miles. I realize that I'm not graceful and I'm sure my form is terrible. Does my size affect it? I'm 5'7 and about 142 or so, which I think is about average. I wear cushioned shoes if that matters.

What kind of mileage do you get?

It may not be good but I try to get around 500 miles out of the shoes--using them towards the end for the less mileage days. I usually wear Ascic 22XX or Adidas Supernova Control. I usually see some small rips in material itself before they are toast.
Some recent experiences:
- Asics GT 2100 - 550 miles
- NB 766 - 560 miles, still felt great, but retired them anyway
- Brooks Adrenaline 6 - 490, but should have retired at 425, ended up with foot injury
- Asics Gel Kayano 12 - 425, still going, but will probably retire these at around 460
- Brooks Trance 7 - 105, no signs of deterioration at this point

I am very heavy (230), but do not punish shoes, all of these heels have held up great, forefoot cushioning is the deciding factor on retirement. I rotate at least 2 pairs, this seems to lengthen their mileage.
Just retired my Saucony Trigon 5 Rides - 293 miles

Bought another identical pair. I had worn through about 1/2" of the rubber sole completely, on the outside midfoot area. Just my crappy footstrike, shoes were great. If I could run better I'd get another 100 miles for sure, really pisses me off to waste money.
Corrade, how do you manage to wear the sole off so quickly? What surface do you run on?
Those were my roadshoes, my stride is pretty messed up. I have no heelstrike, strike with the outside edge of my midfoot and just grind the edge away. Kind of ridiculous, all the rubber was worn away there, but the inside heel looks like new

I've only been running a couple years though and expect things will even out. My right foot evened out a lot. Feel like I'm wasting money though, cheapskate
