How much mileage do you get out of shoes

I follow the 300 mile rule and retire the shoe when I reach that mileage. I'm sure that I could get more miles out of the shoe, but while I've been following the rule, I haven't had any major leg problems. I'm 6', 170 lbs, do about 50 miles a week, and run in the asics 2100 series for normal runs and brook st2's for speed work.

That's not necessarily good. Optimally, you should be doing about 180 bpm when running - at least that's what Jack Daniels says. The slower your stride rate, the more time you're spending in the air, the harder the impact when you come down, etc.
