This is exactly how I feel. They're all a bunch of egomaniacal slimballs. Both parties.

Nonetheless, Sarah Palin is not going to run for anything. She likes her current job and is good at it. (That is, getting right-wingers fired up and getting paid a lot of money for it). She's not going to give that up.

For about six months now, I've been predicting that Mitch Daniels will eventually be the Republican nominee, and I'll still stand by that. He might be a darkhorse candidate, but if the Republicans have any brains at all, they'll realize that it'll need to be him, or someone else like him (i.e. relatively unknown). Palin and Gingrich have way too much baggage; Huckabee and Romney are retreads. I think people are sick of politicians that they know (in both parties), so the person with the best chance is someone that nobody knows yet. Daniels fits that role. So does Tim Pawlenty, I guess. Maybe Haley Barbour does too, but he's got too many close ties to lobbyists to make him appealing. Bobby Jindal? Too young. Chris Christie? Too inexperienced. A real wild card could be Gen. David Petraeus, but I really haven't heard any good rumors saying he's even interested. But if we're at war with half the world a year and a half from now, we might want someone with some military experience...

The point is, Palin is not running, and I'm sure she doesn't care what her poll numbers are...
