We like this sport of ultrarunning so much that I thought I'd start a new topic on where "we've" been visually. Care to share?

Summer 2007 - While I was near Bozeman, MT attempting to run the Devil's Backbone 50M. This pic actually leads up to the trailhead where the race starts. That would be what they call "Sleeping Giant" behind the Hyalite Reservoir. I took these pics standing near my car.

Anybody looking for a tough, scenic and well run 50 miler, I highly recommend the White River 50.

Very nice! And look at those dry trails. Besides the heat that must have been great to run on?
Great pics mark! Vermont especially. Some of your Canadian trails must be equally as impressive?
Great pictures! I've yet to carry a camera with me on a run - I'd probably break it

It's always funny to see photos of the Tetons from the "wrong" side... they are all backwards.

Nice photos everyone!

I'll dig some out later....

Yeah, I knew the race was on the west... but I've only climbed in the Tetons approaching from the east (plus most photos are taken from the national park on the east).

This is the Four Pass Loop near Aspen, Colorado... one of the best trail runs I've ever done:

It's not a race, just an unofficial run with friends. It passes through a lot of Wilderness area around the Maroon Bells so you can't get a permit to hold a race there, unfortunately.

It's still a classic loop though, definitely worth doing! The route goes over 4 12,000+ foot passes in about 28ish miles. It has about 9,000' of total elevation gain, all of it above 9580' altitude.

Here's my trip report (with a link to more photos):
Chris's TR

And my friend Eric's photos:
Eric's Photos

It's a great loop!

Great pics people!
I'd like to add another of my favorites. The start of the Barr Trail leading up to Pikes Peak. If you haven't hiked this trail you are in for the time of your life. Pay not attention to the WARNING. Just kidding.
