I did it! I lost my pregnancy weight. Yay me!

Now I can go back to obsessing about the same 5 pounds I've been obsessing over since I quit smoking 10 years ago.

How old is your baby now, jebba? You've done amazing with your baby weight loss. One of my friends' son will turn one this month and she is still exactly where she was post-partum. Obviously the weight can be lost when a person puts their mind to it.

My week wasn't great last week. I skipped my weekly pool workout and only did yoga once. Eating was fairly poor, too, as I started the week on vacation and then was pretty upset about some stuff on/off through the week so had a few minor stress eating episodes. Stupid, I know.

I've made a few tweaks to my diet this week and am super focused. Workouts are on track. We'll see how that plays out for Friday's weigh-in.

Easy is 3 months old, now. With Miss Sunshine, it took me a few months to get back to weight. I think I didn't get rid of those final five pounds with her until she was almost a year. I am not sure why the recovery has been so much easier this time.

Again, that is just fantastic!

Maybe like anything, it gets easier with practice? You were a brand-new mom the last time and this time you weren't adjusting to parenthood, maybe?

Congrats to you Jebba on the pregnancy weight loss.

SGH - Emotions are a huge contributor to how I do through the week on both making workouts and eating; good on ya' for sticking to it this week.

Happy fourth.

Hi Jen -- hey, we're not TOO far apart, same state anyway! Luckily emotional stuff never affects whether I do my workouts (how they go is a different story), but I'm really working hard on how I allow it to affect my nutrition sometimes.

Here's the original Shape-Up Challenge thread: http://www.kickrunners.com/forum/showthread.php?t=4424

It's something OklaHomer started, and I'm sure you could PM him if you had more questions.

Glad you popped in The Training Station!

I've been following you guys and I've been getting a lot more serious about shaping up now...VRAA and upcoming XC season has me doing lots more core work and other strengthening...not lifting but still. Also I've been working on getting back down to what I was last year XC. I was 145 and ever since the end of the season I've been 150. I have been back down to 145 a few times, but I never stay there for long. I'm really working on not eating as much junk food/snacking, especially at night. I'm also working on doing things all day long, keeping the metabolism roaring like core and stuff long after my run.

A thing that has worked for me yesterday and today was eating directly after my run. I know it's a lot better for speeding up your body's ability to recover, and I haven't been feeling very hungry for hours afterwards.

Keep up the great work ladies and gents!

well, i think i kept things pretty even. i was in vegas all week and while i did more than my fair share of calorie intake, i made sure that i ran 4 days out of the 6 that i was gone. i didnt loose any, but i didnt gain any (like i did on my honeymoon).

this week, im planning on making a serious contribution to the VRAA and getting some serious runs in.
