argh.

I hate going to my inlaws' house for the weekend... especially a long one.

Not because of the company, they are a great bunch!

But because of all the food and smoke. I feel like shit.

I told Dh that tomorrow when we go home, it's nothing but fresh food, fruits/veggies, lean protein and whole grains. No more processed crap.

my SO and I have to shower immediately after coming home from his family's house for holidays and such, because of all the smoke. luckily we only ever stay for a few hours. I don't see why people can't just serve healthy food for the holidays, but apparently there is some rule that we all have to snack on cookies for three straight days so we don't spoil our appetite for the single giant meal in the middle of the day (still very bitter about being forced to eat like parents for entire last week. stepfather has type 2 diabetes and STILL house is full of nothing but pasta and bread. grr.)

We stayed for 3 days. I'm glad to be home. We stopped to pick up deli salads on the way home for lunch. mmm... fresh food.
