weds night I woke up with severe abdominal pain, that soon turned to back pain. It was all on the left side. I know that I have 2 small kidney stones in my right kidney.

Today I finally decided The pain wasn't subsiding and I got a CT scan which showed a swollen kidney..no stones...they suspected that I passed a small stone...which made sense because my pain went from a 7 to a 3 in my car ride over.

before I left the hospital, my doctor, who is out of town, told me to swing by his office and give urine. I have a kidney infection. He said that if the stone is not completely passed, things could get ugly this weekend taking antibiotics.

Good news...it's a vicodin weekend. Bad news, I have to ataxy in town.....I was thinking it was a good time to visit my parents as long as sister was driving and I was going to be HIGH.

I am stuffing my face before starting meeds as I have a tendency not to keep meeds down:mad:

I'm home for now, my ureter is completely obstructed so they couldn't get the scope up to my kidney. I have stent in place that will hopefully help with drainage. And will go back on Tuesday to try again. I am so edemic right now it hurts...20 pounds of water retention!!!!

Hard to believe a speck of sand is causing all this.

Back to vicodin.

Ugh. Take care on the stent removal - my Dad has had several and he says the removal can be quite painful Hang in there.
