Seca RS Road Tires

Anybody here have any experience with these? Have read some good reviews (and some not).

I'm looking for a nice tire that's not as expensive as the Michelin Pro3 I've been using. A tire with snazzy yellow stripes is a bonus! I've heard the cost of rubber is increasing (I've heard the same about latex in regard to the gloves we use in lab) and that the cost of tires will increase as well. The Seca RS are about $37.

the are a lower end training tire that will tend to ride a little rougher and wear better than the michelins, plus corner worse and roll a bit slower. If you mostly just train on them and your frame has enough room try the 25c size tire, they ride a lot more comfy. i'm sure they are good tires for what they are

i like the second idea better, I like to train and ride in the winter on a bigger tire that protects against flats and rides nicer on the beat up roads. The michelins are a nice tire, but wear fast and are prone to cuts, but have a nice ride and hold well in hard cornering if not overinflated.

Which leads me to wonder, why do triathletes think pumping tires really hard is a good idea?

i often train and race bumpy courses at 90, 100 is fine for everyday riding. I run tubulars down to 70 when the roads are really beat up in early spring.
