My Kitty is fading tonight. She is 14 1/2 years old and was diagnosed recently as hyperthyroid.. but there wasn't much we could do to fix it at her age. She has lost much of her weight in the past month and stopped eating much in the past few days. Tonight she it seem she has had like a TIA or mini stroke. I am so sad to be saying good bye to her. "<br>
Her name is Nellie (short for My Darling Nellie Gray) For years she has been so shy she has been a recluse living in my room mostly. She sleeps in the crook behind my knee every night after stopping up for a snuggle and pet on the head. She got me through a miscarriage with my first pregnancy when she was just a teeny kitten. SO much history with one little animal.<br>
I hoped she would pass easily at home. She stresses tremendously anywhere out side that room and a car ride is the worst, let alone going to into the vet office. Her her heart rate was the highest my vet had everhad with a cat.. the thyroid .. but I know it was the fear too. She is very calm at home even up till the past week.<br>
