Looking at the website and at last year results, it does not look like peace of cake.<br>
Anyone who raced last year or racing this year?

Definitely not a piece of cake. Chris McDonald, the winner, finished 50 minutes slower than his time at Eagleman last year -- 4:46 vs. 3:56. If you like hills, it's for you.

ouch... Melonella, are you from the potomac area? What races will you do this year?

I ski in Deep Creek - Savage is probably a good word for the course given the hills out there. It's absolutely beautiful, though. I looked at that race because of the hills (IMLP prep) but wanted an earlier race (hence the Poconos in June). Good luck!!

Yes, I'm in Northern VA. Lots of chatter about Savageman by the local Tri club. In terms of races this year, I'm taking a rest year and doing only the Ches. Bay swim and a sprint or two.
