Up and at 'em peeps,

5+ in the bag for me already. Warmup, 5k race, cool down. A middling but satisfactory time of 19:55 for the race, good for 4th place...overall, not AG. 2nd AG. Had 2nd overall for a while but faded a bit in Mile 2. Not a bad morning's work.

Have good workouts all and good luck to RA at the RNR HM.

Hawk--nicely done!

I'm sitting here fixing to get ready for a run. 10-12. Why does that sound like a sentence? It's 18*, windy and snowing. We've had mild temps all winter. Why the sudden change? Today is the first of two Fantastic Frigid 5K. Weather always sucks. I'm not up to racing again. Son1 is. And since he has his own car, that's what he's doing. Uh, when was the last time he actually ran?! We were thinking Alan's Elite, back in September. We forgot about the Turkey Trot. Needless to say, he's not running a whole lot! But, two races for $20 plus a cool mug, too much for him to pass up.

Hawk -- That's a nice 5K time, particularly a dead of winter 5K time. Great job on the hardware, sir.

4boys -- Have a good long run. Brrr! Good luck to S1.

Me -- 13 miles on tap. 24 degrees at the moment, no wind. Downright balmy compared to you east coasters.

Got 'er done. 11.83 which is close enough for me. Time sucks, but so did the conditions. Only the middle of the road was clear, so I tried to run there. But, when there was traffic, I'd have to move over into the snow which slowed me. Then, moving back onto pavement the first three or so strides were slippery until I cleared all the snow off my shoes. Oh well. It IS January.......

A nice cold run for me this morning. 5.25 miles and a 7:44 mile thrown in at about mile 4-5. Anyway that was good. Waiting to watch whatever coverage they decide to put on tv for the marathon trials. Have a great day everyone.

Me - Up early with the plans to swim and then run. I had to switch it up since I got to the pool before they opened so i decided to run first. 7 mile run in just under an hour and 1800 meter swim. You can read the detail here on my Blog.

I have to agree with Dave — some quality stuff here today. Not the kind of stuff you see in mid-January.

I got in a 5-mile run, which was my best effort in at least a week. I'll take it.

Good runs, all
