Mornin' fellas...Have a good 7 this mornin chances, and have an awesome 30k tomorrow. Enjoy the rest and good luck at the doc if you go Dan. I had a horendous long run with BBS yesterday....I ended up havin to bail half way through. The worst run I've had all year I believe. I felt even worse about bailing on my bro, making him run by himself. Anywho...I tried to redeem myself this morning with some speedwork and I felt pretty good for some dadgum reason. Got in 4 miles at 6:43..7:18..7:17..7:21. There were some pretty big hills but the weather was perfect. Have an awesome day guys. ps......who's excited about college football crankin up? Me, thats who.

chances--hope you had a good 7 and GOOD LUCK tomorrow!

Dan--rest up.

jd--OSU had a game Thursday evening and I missed it! Pre-season against an unranked team and we killed 'em 45-7.

jebba--do I remember that you were in a slump? Hopefully you have found your mojo!

Early morning trot for me. Planned for run over to another neighborhood, then the loop x4. Got out there and it was lighter than I expected, so I did my usual long route. Sorta. The group I used to run with wasn't doign the bike path and I didn't want to be out there alone, so I stuck to roads. LOTS more climbing. Not killer hills, just gradual inclines for a mile or so. Towards the end the legs were DEAD and running into the headwind I just couldn't do it so walked for a bit. Once back home, I discovered the problem--my shoes are shot. I'm test wearing the new Adrenalines and I think they only have 180-200miles on 'em. Anyway... short 15miles for the day.

Happy just past noon Kicksters,

Well I had today penciled in for a 20 miler but the need for some extra sleep took priority. No big deal, I'll do it tomorrow. Nothing like a long and (partially) lazy 3-day weekend. Weather tomorrow will the same as today, gorgeous.

I'll probably do an easy 5-7 to prime for tomorrow a little later, once the late breakfast settles.

Chances - enjoy the 7 and rip that 30k tomorrow.

JD - sorry about the tough LR. That happens to us all sometimes.

Dan - hope things turn back the right way for you. Just a bump in the road and hopefully be a roll again.

Jebba - nice job this morning.

Good morning everyone. I got up at the way too early time of 4:30 to go drive for almost 1 hr for my race this morning. Here are the results from the race.

45:15.7(7:16)

9th AG

I think total there were maybe 600 runners, but once they put up the results I can check for sure. The first 2.5 miles are a gradual uphill and then it is all downhill and flat going back to the finish. It is a beautiful race course with the mountains right next to you. I went out conservative I guess As the first 3 miles were in 22:15(7:25). The next 3 were in 21:41(7:14). The last .2 was 1:18(6:30). I beat my time from last year by almost a minute, so overall today was a good race. Now it is time to shower and probably sleep some.

Nice running, resting all. The Windy City certainly is windy today... anyway, 6 or so easy miles with 15mph winds and 60F.

Good luck fellow weekend racers.

Nice efforts out there peeps.

No run for me today. However, I did embark on a lil deer scouting venture. Covered a lot of ground, probably around 4 miles. Seen a few decent spots to hunt, a flock of turkeys and one snake. Now its time to rest up and watch a little football.
