<p>Morning, people. </p>

<p>Back from So. Cal. and a tough couple of travel days.  Watching ESPN's College GameDay broadcast from my little alma mater.  Fifteen years ago, my team played in the lowly FBS.  Now, College GameDay.  I wish my dad had lived to see this.  Wow.  </p>
<p> </p>
<p>Oh, gotta do a 10K time trial.  Fatigue will likely temper the pace.  </p>
<p> </p>

<p>Started the increased meds yesterday but woke feeling like I had not only been hit be a truck but the truck backed up over me and did it again. Guess it's going to take the meds a few days. </p>

<p>Super pissed off this morning.  I totally rearranged my schedule, so I could do my long on Friday rather than Saturday, so son1 could run with a group today.  I don't like running with this group and with four weeks to my marathon, I can't afford to mess around with my long runs. So plan was to drop son1 off for the run, then I'd go to the gym for a swim.  I drag my sorry fat azz out of bed this morning and get ready for my swim.  Son1 comes downstairs and decided that he's too tired and wants to postpone the run until tomorrow.  GRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!</p>

<p>Since I was already up and ready to go, I went to the gym anyway.  3000m in the fishbowl.  Uh, yah, swam it pretty hard.  My coffee cup is feeling pretty heavy now.</p>

<p>My nutrition and hydration for today was much better than it has been all week.  The run went a whole lot better than last Saturday.  I got 7 miles in 57:236(8:12) and the last miles was 7:38.  That included the steepest hill of my run.  I am trying to convince my brother to go to the nearby park where they are having a big High School XC meet today.  It should be fun. </p>

<p>Like Chances, I'm supposed to do a 10k time trial today. I did find a local 10k but since I'm single parenting today it was a 10k pushing DD in the BOB along the bike path.  Recovery pace.  I don't I'd be able to run fast anyway as my back is killing me.  Feels like I've strained a lat or something.  Aleve to the rescue.  Now off to clean the crayon marks off the windows...</p>

<p>Me and <strong>JD</strong> got thru the 15.  I think the time was 2:13 sumthin, took it very easy the first 9-10, then staedily picked it up, I think mile 15 was the fastest @ 8:25.  Felt great actually, well, I mean it was hard, but not as bad as I thought it would be.  I stayed well hydrated, and took 1 GU @ mi 10.  I think I could have run another couple if I had to today.  Things are looking up for my Marathon.</p>

<p>Today is the 1st time in 12 years that I missed out on opening day of Bow Season... and to run 15 miles. </p>

<p>Oh yea.... Found out last night DW is pregnant... pretty pumped about a new fawn being added to family!</p>

<p>Got the new bike fit this morning and then went for a nice short bike ride.  I gotta make some minor adjustments to the bike.</p>

<p>Chances - nice 4 mile tempo... in reality the training effect between that and the planned 10k is pretty negligible</p>

<p>Me - 60 minutes Elliptical.  Did 90 minutes of the hot yoga last night and feeling pretty good about long run tomorrow... 14-18 depending how I feel... good luck to the other Sunday long runners!</p>
