Hi all. Up at BCOD today.

A few notables from yesterday:

Dave -- Take care of that knee. We need out tri-star-stud healthy!

Alex -- Girl trouble? Horrors. And glad to hear you weren't pushing yourself too much with that wimply 6:20-ish pace.

zrun -- Sounds like most 20-milers. Relief to have it behind you, isn't it. You're ready, friend.

jebba -- Hope you feel better soon, dear lady.

Well, six recovery on tap today. Then housework, regular work, and some football. Yesterday's 13 felt pretty good on tired legs. Gearing for 22 tomorrow.

And we're off to the races! Son1 and I are headed to Akron to cheer a friend doing her first triathlon. Later in the morning we're working the kids race. Then this afternoon working the Elite race. We're both racing tomorrow. Catch you on the flip side!

Morning everyone,

Rest day for me today. Race day tomorrow! I'm as ready as I can be.

The race is called the Wilson Bridge Half Marathon, goes from Mt. Vernon into Alexandria then over the Woodrow Wilson Bridge, to finish in Maryland.

Heading to packet pickup shortly, then I have another errand to run on the way back home. Then I just plan to relax at home most of the day. I do need to look at something for work so that will keep me on the couch for a bit.

Looks like a great day out there. Enjoy it with whatever you are doing.

Morning,

Thanks guys, I feel good about my training and am ready to focus on the taper / pre-race prep, and then let the chips fall where they may. I was happy to run an easy 5.7 with the group after the solitary long run yesterday. Cool route, mixed roads and trails with part of it through a narrow path surrounded by tall yellow flowers.

Chances - Have a great last 20+ run yourself tomorrow! Unless you are doing 20 next weekend.<img alt="<img src=" src="http://files.kickrunners.com/smilies//smile.gif" style="width:1px;height:1px;" title="<img src="> I have 18 on the schedule for 2 weeks out then 13 the week before. Talk about kicking butt in Chicago, I think you are definitely there.

Jill - Hope you had a nice easy run and have a great weekend.

4boys - Good luck with the race and to your friend.

Dan - Have a good one, and good luck with the longer one tomorrow.

Dave - Nice job on the long run yesterday. Hope that knee is feeling better.

Hawk - Missed you down there, have a great multi-state race tomorrow!

Good morning,

First of three Atlanta Track Club practice runs for the upcoming Atlanta 1/2 on Thanksgiving Day. I'm one of two 2 1/2 hour pacers - bringing up the rear. We had 11 people in our group this morning, going from Ansley to Piedmont Park, around and then through a section of midtown and back to the park to Ansley for a 7.5 mile run.

30 points for Team uno. Maybe after the football games this afternoon I'll do some weights and add a few more points.

Hawk - Enjoy the anticipation, rest and race!

zrun - Sounds like a nice run this morning. When's the race?

GaReb - Someone's gotta help us slow ones in races. Good for you for doing it.

So, ended up with 38 minutes. Could have gone longer but wanted to save some for tomorrow.

Hopefully I can get out for 5 recovery pace miles this afternoon. I have to drop DD off at the inlaws then head into the big smoke to see the dentist. CARA Ready to Run 20 miler tomorrow. That will be uber tough as I seem to have acquired a cold. Great timing. I think it's because I was considering running a HM next Sunday. The HM curse strikes again! DW is out running the other organized 20 miler in Busse Woods at the moment.

GaReb770 - sounds like a fun training gig.

zrun - are you sure you're not pacing Chances to his 2:59.59?

Hawk - you're up for a good race tomorrow.

Dan - keep on keeping on

Jill - hope the miles are easy on you

4boysmom - sounds like a busy day. Good luck tomorrow.

Chances - only 22? That at your leisure pace of 7:20mpm.

I wonder when Alex will spill the beans?

Good day all. Fly by for me.

Short ride for me today. I decided to keep it inside and ride the rollers again. 12 miles in about 31 minutes or so.

Happy training everyone.

Good luck 4BM and Hawk

I needed a longish run for myself today. Compared to everyone else it would be normal mileage. It was a total slog fest today. 9 miles in 1hr 22 minutes (9:11). I have run the route before, but today it just kicked my butt. I needed something to drink halfway through, but I finished with nothing. The 5th mile was the worst, but the hill I went up was steep, so that slowed me down a bit.

Nice job on all the running and such today. I am just hoping that I will be able to relax this morning and watch some football. Have a great day.

I'm having trouble reading everyones posts... my eyes keep getting locked on some hottie in a Gatorade comercial ad...

Nice running resting and ridin out there everyone.

I went to the farms and tackled the 'Tour D' Wolf', pretty tuff trails, for 13.1 miles in 1:54. I had to tack on the .1 Chances sorry. I would say it was my slowest HM to date, but I think it will be more reassuring to say that it was the longest time frame that I have ran to date

Actually it went really well. Best long run I've done in a few weeks. Seen a bunch of deer on the trails, almost ran into a tree staring at one to see if it was a buck or not.

Recover well Chances.

Sounds like a busy weekend 4BM- hope the races go well.

How'd the easy miles go Jill?

Have fun at work today Dan.

You seem pretty ready for your race tomorrow Hawk- I predict a new PR.

Sounds like the right attitude going into a race Zrun- wish I could take that mentality more often.

Seems like a nice run this morning GaReb.

Keep it easy today Asics.

What're the indoor trainers for the bike like Dave? I've been thinking about looking into one for the Winter.

Sounds like tough course Kevin- I wouldn't worry about it.

Pace doesn't matter so much on a trail run BBS- especially a tough course. Nice job out there- and I too am put off by the non-whole number running.

For me, I was a little depressed about not doing at least he half at the Air Force base this morning for the first time in a while- and I must've been subconsciously thinking about it when I got dressed because I was wearing red white and blue somewhat appropriately. Went for a 20 miler, and it was quite sloggish at first until I got out of the sun and onto the trails. Not sure exactly what my total pace was, but it my course was accurate it was pretty close to 8 mpm give or take. A lot of that came down the last 6 miles as I was just flying and feeling great. Off to a golf scramble latter which will be interesting because I suck at golf...

Hi everybody. Some really nice mileage this weekend, wow.

I did a very relaxed 3 miles again today. Tomorrow I am meeting some friends for a slow and chatty 8 miler, and I am really looking forward to it.
