Afternoon! I was out at 8am for my 14 mile run. It went well, 2:29:25 or so. I had to stop and face down a dog, and talk with the owner, who was very apologetic. I hope she does something, because it's been too long for that dog to continue the "chase the runner" phase. Next time I'm calling animal control. The owner said "I'm thinking I might need a shock collar, but he doesn't do this every time". I don't care, if the dog comes after me, that's one time too many.

Other than that it was a really good run, the farthest I've ever gone. I walked sometime around mile 10 or 11 for a bit, during a really long but not steep uphill. And I did 6 miles yesterday evening so I feel like a did a pretty good job. No cramps! I'm getting the hang of this electrolyte thing, I think.

Alex, good luck on the hills

Chosha, great job on your run. New shoes should help the aching feet, but it could be you're running more than you have before, too.

milergal, I hope your knee feels better soon!

SGH, great job on the 18 miles! I had a low point during my walking part, but overcame! Sometimes my internal dialogue is somewhat negative. It didn't last long though.

Boy did I have a gas bubble working, though, massive belch once I stopped

My right hip felt a bit tight too, around mile 12, but I think it's just due to the length of the run and not having done this very often. A bit of a self-butt massage helped
