<p>October already?!  Yikes!  Anyway, nothing for me today.  I like to start a month out as I mean to continue :)</p>

<p>I hit 224 miles in September, which was lower than plan but I did get a new HM PR with 1:25:11.  Next stop, a new marathon PR.</p>

<p>Goose egg for me.  Although I did have quite the goose bumps at the race venue.  Yah, headed down and registered, opting for the sprint du.  Registration was pretty slow, several switching from tri to du.  It'll be interesting.</p>

Depending on the duration and intensity I have either nothing, a banana or instant oatmeal before hand.   Hydration the day/night before is also a good idea.  However, there are days when I just have nothing no matter what I eat/drink due to poor sleep or a long week of training,</p>

<p>Cold, nasty, wet day around here. Given that and being tired from a late night out last night, I bagged my planned long bike ride for today, although I did play in my "summer" league team's soccer match this morning (long story why we're still playing summer league matches in October). Between that and standing around for 90 minutes beforehand while DW played her women's match, I decided that was enough of the weather conditions for the day.</p>

<p>Another game tomorrow, this time our regular fall season in our regular league. I could try to squeeze the ride in tomorrow morning -- we'll see about that. Still pretty tired right now.</p>
