<p>This morning we have to brave the nasty winds for a trip to the botanical gardens.  At least it's sunny.  May hit up the gym for a, gasp, treadmill 5'er and some weights later today. </p>

<p>I got out for an 11 miler this morning.  No motivation, plus 45* felt a little brisk at first... Made myself keep it conservative for the first 5.5 then kinda cruised the last half.  Ended up with a 3 minute neg split w/ the first mile @ 8:57 and the last @ 8:03 for a total of 1:32:43.  Actualy felt pretty darn good at the end.  Hoping I'm turning the corner on this running funk I've been in the past few weeks.</p>

<p>Using yet another borrowed computer.  Got the computer back and it blue screened and had that distinctive electronic burning smell.  Sigh...  Early morning running circles.  Was supposed to be WU, 1mi MP, CD.  For the life of me I could not find MP.  Certainly shook any confidence I had.  After work I headed to the expo with the hound.  Mailbox and I were not able to connect which is a bummer.  Maybe at the finish???</p>

<p><strong>BBS</strong> - nah, DD has a monthly class to learn about plants etc.  Nice job on the 11.</p>
<p><strong>4boysmom</strong> - you clearly have what my wife has, i.e. the computer death touch...  I wouldn't worry about the workout today.</p>

<p>Anyway, I decided to run to the gym, do a less than half ass (quarter ass) weight routine and crunches then ran home.  Nice and sunny and about 6F but the 25mph winds are interesting.</p>

<p>Good afternoon or evening everyone.  After watching football after running and such I can finally report on my race.  I will give the short version. </p>

<p>22:33.4 (7:15).  31 OA and 2nd in AG.  I got a nice little trophy.  I ran the race I wanted for today and seeing how I have not done any speed work for quite a while it is a good result.</p>

<p>Clothes laid out.  Breakfast, gu's and water set out.  Gym bag packed.  Map analyzed and re-analyzed and analyzed and re-analyzed again.  Uh... NOW WHAT?!  Really should have gone to the girls night out.</p>
