Basic daily run then off to work. Amazing how much easier it feels to run before work than after. Race tomorrow.

Finally able to swim 2500m with little discomfort. Still cant do flop turns and dont have a good feeling in the water. Plus my neck is killing me and couldnt breathe to one side. Then afrer the breakfast with the tri club friends and driving-kid duty, 5 Mile run! I ran 4 miles yesterday with tolerable discomfort to my rib. When the pace hovered around low 8 without lots of effort, I knew I had kept decent fitness. The rib gave me some pain, but tolerable. I would love to pace DH for the last several miles tomorrow but I have no sense of pace right now... Will see.

Have a great weekend!

awesome, awesome 6 mile run around downtown Hartford while AdCo ran the Hartford Half. Weather was perfect, roads were mostly closed, and it was just one of those runs where everything clicked.

38 mile run today (mileage no typo). Joined up with a group who set out to touch all border signs neighboring a nearby town. We stopped for a picture at each sign. Was a long slog of almost 7 hours. Fun time. Had 10 of us at the start. Dropped to 6 by 20. Then two by 26. Fun time. Tired. Body held up well. Think that 6-Hour race in November just might be my next big race.

Did a pretty hilly 12 mile road run with my cousins and their running group this morning. Started at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, and went up through the hills and finished back at the Rose Bowl. Sun stayed tucked behind the clouds for most of it, and loved seeing some really amazing homes along the way. Fueled and hydrated well, and definitely could have kept going if the schedule called for it.

Hartford 1/2 Marathon in 2:09:?? I went easy for the first bit and pushed a bit at the end. I am a bit under trained, but happy give my change in diet and that I haven't trained all that hard.. time to kick it up a notch.

90/2 brick was on the schedule with the 2 mile run a maybe since I had run 18 Friday. It was structured as a 70 mile ride followed by a 20 mile add on. With all the wind I stopped at 70 miles and did not do the whole 90. At mile 55 I stopped just to cry then finished up the 70. It sucked. I was getting blown all over the road at certain sections of the course. Hubster was with me and told me I needed to eat something to not be as weepy so I immediately whined that I was sick of eating to which he laughed. It was quite a day. Massage therapist did come to the house that evening and we both got massages which helped a lot.
