Up stupid early to go run circles. Um, no, not sure why I decided to do this run on the track. One stop after lap30 for water, Gu and stretch. Probably stopped too long, but whatever. Was able to finish it out for a skosh over 12mi. Bit slower than I'd like, 8:56pace. But, laps right at 2:26-2:28 (lane6), so at least I was steady. Athens is certainly a scratch. Now looking at Earth Day, which is two weeks later.

Mom- I think I'd get dizzy. Nice job out there

I had a great run on the trails. 8 miles in 1:05, avg 8:09, which is very fast for me on these particular trails. Now its time to hit the hay so I can get up early and head to Hellogg's.

My friend asked me to do a Muddy Buddy race with her in May. I am very weak on a bike, so I am nervous. I need to practice.

Hey all,

Rest day for me yesterday. Rare for a Friday, but I had too much going on, and it's OK because I had skipped my normal Monday rest day in preparation. IOW yesterday was a planned rest day.

I was out late last night at a fantasy baseball league draft downtown, so I slept in this morning and just finished up a late breakfast which is now about settled. My original plan for today said 16 easy but because of the late start I will probably have to cut it back to 10 or so with some tempo. I think I probably need more race pace training than endurance training at this point anyway. Cherry Blossom, the first target race is only 2 weeks away.

No time to respond to all but I will shout out a good luck to Jill on her 50k!

Nice job, folks. Hope it was a ultra-fine morning for Jill :) Good luck tomorrow RA, you'll do great.

I ran laps around a .7 something mile lake with the boys this afternoon. 1 lap with both kids, then 2 more with the 11-year old then 4 solo for a little over 5 overall. My easy pace has progressively gotten slower this week, hopefully just readjusting to mileage after the layoff.

Got back from the run about 2 hours ago then had to quickly jump online for my other fantasy baseball draft. Now that's done and I can finally shower from the run.

A little over 10 miles done, on the trail near home...I wanted to go fast so I left the trail shoes in the closet and laced up the Kinvaras.

15 minute warmup, then 30 minutes at tempo, followed by cooldown at recovery pace. I haven't had a chance to check the run stats yet because I loaned DW my Garmin for her run but I'm pretty sure the 30 minute tempo was right around 6:30 pace. I was shooting for no slower than 6:40 pace so I'll gladly take that.

Gorgeous weather here -- sunny, 60s, a little breeze but not too bad. Hope everyone's enjoying the spring day.

Workout #2 in the books. BEAUTIFUL afternoon for a spin. Certainly feeling this morning's run, but felt good to get out there. Took a route that son1 found a few weeks ago. Nice route. SPRING is here! Spring peepers are out in full force, as are the first of the spring wild flowers. I was riding along, letting my mind wander, when I looked over in a field and saw... Uh, what the heck?!?! A CAMEL! What is a camel doing here?! Pace wasn't what I had hoped for, but given the 12 this morning, I'll take it. 23miles
