Hi, guys.

BBS -- Have a good trail run. Watch for stickers, barbs and burrs.

Hawk -- Have a great (almost) half marathon. Sounds like some sort of training run. What's coming up?

Me -- Lots of yardwork. Then some rest. Then I'll make it out for 12-13. Funny how the cross training, including weights, keeps my body weight up. 183 this morning, a full 13 pounds over typical race weight.

Back from the 13 miler, actually it turned out to be 13.07, just a few steps shy of a half. A tidy 1:42:44 for the day, 7:51/mile. The "3:10 marathon" plan I'm using said this was to be run at 7:45 pace but given summer conditions I figure I was in acceptable range of that. Supposedly by the end of the cycle I'm supposed to be able to do this same run at goal MP.

Oh and Chances, I'm training for Chi-town. This is Week #1.

Back from Bloomington! deCycles left this morning, heading for Batesville, IN. Tomorrow I'll meet them in Cambridge, OH with baked goodies. Just outside the church where we stayed last night there was a rails to trails. Still plenty of day light after the rider meeting, and huh... who duh thunk! I just happened to find running gear in my overnight bag! Super easy 3mi trot. Intersting because the trail went from crushed limestone to single track and back with no rhyme or reason. Oh well, it was a BEAUTIFUL run.

Son1 and I did the 5k this morning. He did great, 24:38 on my watch, just 10-15 seconds off his PR.

Late post. Remind me not to go long in an empty stomach without gatorade. Meant to run 15, but pooped out at 12.
