10 miles. 5 miles of hills and 5 around the lake. 48 degrees and sunny.

Beautiful morning but I have come to loathe running in the early AM. Nothing works well and everything's stiff. Shin splints in the left leg (I've had them for last 4 days???) I wanted to stop a couple of times but I thought of Tim and pushed on. Legs were tired. Might have had something to do with the wedding we went to last night. Several adult beverages and about 4-1/2 hours of sleep.

Oh well, everyone have a great day.

I thought of Tim(mies) too, as I had a couple of extra large before heading out on my old home route. 6.8 miles at a very easy pace in cool (4C) temps.

My legs are usually better in the AM than PM, so I don't mind morning runs at all.

It definitely takes me a mile or 2 before I can even run a sub-8 mile when it's morning.

Work 'til 4, then church, then the German's going away party. I'll miss him a lot, but I hope we keep in touch a lot. Then on Tuesday the German foreign exchange student from last year is coming back for a few weeks! I'm definitely excited for that!

Have a great weekend.

Good morning!

About 1:10 on hilly, rocky trails, guessing it was 6.5 maybe 7 miles, but I probably will never know. It was a recovery run day, and the trails were perfect for it!

18 today-It was one of those days when I actually think I'm going to be able to do this Those days are few and far between for me but right now I'm enjoying a brief moment of self confidence.

18! nice!

10 for me today. 7 out by the beach with my running buddies; the usual route. Then I came back to the gym in our building to crank out 3 more.

14 miles for me. Felt pretty good considering I haven't had a rest day since Monday because I moved my long run day from Sunday to Saturday. Now I have the rest of the weekend to relax! ccasion5:

5 miles on trails and logging/forest roads. I did a lot of my running on a path that went through an ocean of ferns and low blueberry bushes. At one point, I smelled a warm spicy smell that reminded me of Christmas somehow, and my best guess is bayberry bushes.

Plan tonight was for 6 recovery miles. Did that without much trouble.

It was an absolutely perfect day for a run. Felt more like early May than late June.

Run Segments
