Good morning, just barely. I got out around 7 this morning for an easy six. I was a little sluggish, but it's definitely worth getting out early for me. I dodn't do well in the heat.

Good morning everyone. I had a decent race and for today I gave what I had. Being sick last month seems to have taken it out of me, but the racing season has a ways to go, so I will be fine.

2nd place AG

21:29 Was looking for sub 21 today, but it was not my day. I think the antibiotics I took a few weeks ago wiped me out a bit, but I will survive.

First mile in 6:20ish then 2 miles in about 13:15. I was looking for 13 minutes or less at that point. The last mile is mostly uphill, so that did not help my time at all. If it would have been more flat and such it could have been a different result. Now on to next week and my downhill 8k race.

Jebba- early runs are the only way to go now

Kevin- Nice job on the race! always helps when you have a sub-par race and still bring home some hardware.

I got out for a run... at 10am, when it was 88*. I wanted 7, until the heat and fatigue put me in be he in a headlock. I called it quits at 4. Oh well, no biggie what so ever.

Hello all,

Steamy around here again, and I still haven't gotten out for a workout. I slept in a bit, had a late breakfast and then did some errands. The plan for today says to bike and I was going to do at least 20 miles on the road but I think I'll switch that to take out the mountain bike for 45-60 minutes instead. That way I can stay in the shade of the trail.

Nice running all and good job on the 5k Kevin.

Afternoon all! Son1 and are are just back from a very fun weekend. Yesterday we rode up to Grandma's. 87miles total, about 75 of those in heavy rain/thunderstorm. Stopped off at the race venue on our way into town. They were all set up so the RD told me to go recover for today's race. Very nice visit with Grandma. Although we had revolving dozing--all evening at least one of hte three of us had nodded off. Got up early this morning and headed to the race venue, only to find out that the 5K was at 9am, not 8am. I went back out and told my HFP Racing friends that I wouldn't be able to race, that son1 and I would need to head back home. I guess I gave them puppy dog eyes, because they allowed me to start with the duathletes at 8:05. I ran a decent race, although it was tough "running blind", not knowing who I was racing against. I posted an unofficial 25:12, which I am happy with considering yesterday's ride and the course is tough (up the side of the reservoir, then gravel path with no wind protection). I won't know until tomorrow how I placed. A friend agreed to take my running shoes back to Grandma's so we didn't have to go back into town. Son1 and I headed towards home by 8:45. Super windy today, although mostly crosswind. One stop at m65. 92miles total riding for the day.

Back from the trail ride. 90s and humid at the start turned to steady rain about halfway into it. I got pretty soaked but it was a fun ride. I haven't reviewed the Garmin stats yet but it was about 13 miles of bumping around and getting wet & muddy.

Congrats on the hardware kfuller

Might impressive weekend of activity 4boysmom.

Hawk - I need to get on my bike

BBS - I think any run at this point is a good thing.

I get to race my HM tomorrow. Weather still in the 50s and a bit humid. Anyway, nothing today except chasing DD around OId Navy and getting frustrated with the packet pickup for the race. They someone didn't have our t-shirt assignment (luckly I got a medium but they were out of XS or S for DW). Then they didn't assign us corrals. This group has started to really increase the numbers in their races and hence the logistic are going down the toilet. Very annoying since I signed up months ago.

Nice race kfuller, good luck tomorrow to RA, and nice runs & rides for everybody everybody else. I forgot my garmin watch at work yesterday and got in what I think was a little less than 5 miles around the neighborhood this morning including an ill-advised venture into a construction area that resulted in some serious muddiness. Early 12 on the path for tomorrow.
