52.5 mile group ride - hi 17s. Bagged a planned longer beach route to beat the rain. Made it pretty much rain free until the last mile or two .... well timed.

Good afternoon, y'all!

Reg & Sparty, way to kick ass this morning!!!!

11 mile solo mountain run this morning up and down and a few repeats on Wachusett Mountain, all on the auto road due to rain:

o WU - 1 mile

o 1 x Mile Hill Road (7:38)

o 3 x Steep way to Summit (9:30, 9:35, 9:35)

*Was going to do one more summit repeat but decided to quit while I was feeling good and strong (for a change!) rather than dipping too far into the well.

**And that's just it: after a few weeks of being rattled by allergies, some where I was robbed of energy and others where I was just beat up from all the hill work in the last few weeks, this week started very rough but is finally coming full circle with me starting to feel strong -- not fast (mt. w. will be slow for me) but strong. Finally.

Great weekend, Team!

Basic daily run. Not feeling great. Tomorrow is the first race in a 3 race series and I was hoping to not be out of contention after the first race. Don't like my chances the way I'm feeling. I'll give it what I have though. Vicki is running on a bum leg too. She dropped a flower pot on the side of her shin a couple weeks back and has a large hematoma and lots of bruising. She's going to try wearing a compression sock. Donnie is working one of the aid stations with the high school XC team. Sometimes this race gets some elite runners. I wonder if anyone will break 50 minutes for the 10 very hilly miles?

Headed out for a ride with little to no drizzle. Major rain held off until the last 5 miles. 26 miles total. I don't have a lot of experience riding in the rain, so it was nice to get some of that today...plus tomorrow's forecast includes thunder storms throughout the day and I didn't want to gamble on that. The friend with whom I rode brilliantly suggested I use her treadmill for my 4 mile brick run! Awesome! (especially since I might get wet during my run tomorrow)

2hr ride w/ some peeps, pretty tired from 3 day marathon worktravel. FIB a 45min run w/ negative splits - 10:59, 10:58, 10:36, 9:36 - as i went, I felt better and better. Strange.

I saw my schedule for next week... it REALLY looks like a taper schedule!!

Disasters at work in the last couple of days have had me missing things like Little BD's game on Wednesday, workouts, etc. I think I've worked more than a full workweek in the last 3 days alone and it's still going on! Broke free for a run today though. Just a short 3 which I ended up finishing between 10-15K pace to blow off steam. Another date with my laptop and a phone at 8 AM tomorrow...*sigh* But the Bannons will be coming over for dinner so yay!
