Good luck with the 12. I got in 5 miles just under 9 minute pace. It was 50* and a light rain this morning. When is it ever 50* in the morning in January. Weird weather we are having. Have a great day everyone.

Greetings gents,

Looks like I'll be indoors today. Outside there is an inch of snow on the ground but it's covered by a quarter-inch thick sheet of ice. Racing around in circles is planned for tomorrow so I'll keep it easy today and maybe throw in some long overdue weights/core stuff.

Nuthin' yet. We got snow overnight, with some freezing rain. I had a woman's breakfast a church this morning. Roads aren't too bad. But... ain't no way I'm doing my long run today when it's supposed to be in the 40's tomorrow. There's a group from church running this afternoon so I'll join them for an easy trot in the snow.

We got 6-8" of powdery snow yesterday so I got to test out the AWD on my car. Didn't seem to perform that much better than my old RWD with the same snow tires. Anyway, 5 miles on the TM at lunch. Feeling crappy as DD's cold is working its magic on me.

Hoping to get in 14-16 tomorrow. My buddies are heading out later than I want (need to get back for DD's ballet class) so will either run solo loops around the neighborhood or attempt it on the TM and finish my current audiobook. Of course there's always the 200m indoor track... may get dizzy.

Hi, all.

Hawk -- Icky weather. Save the run for the speedy session tomorrow.

Mom -- Enjoy the church chat and trot.

RA -- Feel better, have a good easy five, and great MLR tomorrow.

Me -- Did 14 today, 7:57 average. 48 balmy degrees. Longest run for me in some time. HR still a little high for the effort.

Good to actually meet these other runners from church. Someone said that this trail is "always" plowed. Uh, not so much. Attempted to run on runner packed snow. Not happening. Calves cramped badly so I turned around early. Bummer as it was a good conversation. Ended up walking a good deal of the way back. I had planned on doing my long run tomorrow but now reconsidering. Regular swim tomorrow, then long run Monday. Hopefully by then my calves will be back to normal.
