Morning all yous guys

Nuthing quite like going to Chuck e Cheese's w/ about 5,000 screaming kids for one on DS's friends birthday parties the night before a race.

Feelig kinda tired this morning, hopefully I can shake it off. Expo was pretty nice. Local running store was there, and I picked up a pair of red Nike Free Run 2s for $30. I also found out that my old nemesis turned friend for time being (he moved up an age group, but when I move up to his, he'll be nemesis again) is pacing a 3:30 group along with several other people I know, so I think I'll hang with those guys at the start through maybe the first 5K, and then try to breakaway. My biggest concern is what to wear... calling for 47* moslty cloudy w/ 10-15 mph winds at race start, probably 51* by the time I finish. Shorts definatly, Got a St Jude Heroes singlet, thinking I may wear this tight fitting nike long sleeve I have under the singlet.... I guess if I get warm I can roll the sleeves up.

BBS -- Exciting. Good luck!

Me -- Will get out for 10 this morning. Then DS1 and I are volunteering at a local pet store to gather signatures for a petition to make multiple convictions of animal cruelty a felony. Idaho's one of only three states that have no such penalty. Hopefully we'll sign some folks on, and I can teach the youngun something about civic involvement in the process.

Woo hoo BBS!

Chilly day here, so I'm waiting for it to warm up a bit before I head out on the bike. Watching some Premiership soccer in the meantime.

Chances - good on you to lead by example on civics. Of course in VA that is a felony.

1:36:56. 6 minute PR. Great race, probably my best ever. Started out about 7:30, and picked it up about halfway like I wanted, actually think I may have left some in the tank too, last .10 (or .28 per Garmin) was 6:10 pace.

BBS, that is so awesome! You must be on such a high right now.

Chances: I love how you are teaching your son to be involved!

Hawk: have fun spinning your wheels!

Dan: way to go on anothe three.

7.75 for me today. Ran to the park with Easy in the stroller. We met mr jebba and Miss Sunshine. Mr jebba and I ran 2.25 miles together while Miss S biked. Then I ran back with the empty stroller while they cam back in the car. Gorgeous day. My blister site from the marathon is still bothering me. Hmph.

BBS--NICELY DONE!!!

chances--good job on your civic duty. Someone has to speak out for the critters. Although the hound thinks it's animal cruelty that I'm not sharing my lunch with him.

Dan--another 3 in the bank.

jebba--any funny looks for runnign with an empty stroller?

Our work assignment was pushed half an hour early due to a schedule conflict. One of the residents recently published a book on his 20yr battle with Parkenson's and was to have a book signing. Sadly, he was rushed to the hospital last night. Luckily, he had been stocking up on autographed copies so I was still able to get one. My mother was diagnosed a little over a year ago. This book will make a nice Christmas gift.

After work I headed to the bike path. I did two O&B's for a total of 10.16m, 1:29:01, 8:46pace. But, splits are all over the place-- 30:09/30:40, 14:15/13:55. Oh well, I think this was my first double digit run since the marathon.

Great race BBS. And sounds like you have a faster one in you with a little more practice at the distance- it's a tough one to really maximize I think.

Great job on the run Chances, and even better job on sticking up for animal rights.

Nice job on the run this morning Dan.

Hope the biking goes well Hawk.

Sounds like a pretty solid run Jebba.

Really nice run 4BM. It always feels nice to get over that double digit hurdle the first time after a hard marathon.

Hi, all.

BBS, great job on the race. There's no better feeling than going into a race totally prepared and then popping a PR.

Chances, I am guessing that New Hampshire is among the other three....

Five miles today. Felt lousy the first two, then some adrenaline kicked in.

Good runs, all

Way to go on that kick-butt race BBS!! So when is the debut marathon?? ;)

Change of plans for me. DW wanted to go for a run, or run/walk really. So we did 5 together. So about 2.5 miles of very light running for me, probably just the right type of reintroduction to running for next week.

Will definitely ride tomorrow.
