Early morning trot for me. Usual route which is around 4.5m. Later than usual, so no Christmas lights. But, I did get to follow another runners footprints through the snow. Got back and put the sticky buns in the oven. They're ready, but no one is up yet.

Morning to you all, and a Merry Christmas to everyone.

I'm wallowing in self-pity after that run. 8min miles felt incredibly hard...shins/knees/and legs in general just feel sore all over, even when not running. 71mins done. Day off tomorrow for sure. Oh well, time for presents and a wonderful family breakfast before heading to Chicago this afternoon.

Santa Clause came today. I got snowshoes. Hopefully I can get some good use out of them this winter. Nothing for me today most likely. Unless I get the urge to do something later. Enjoy the Christmas Day everyone.

Merry Christmas! Other than a new house, Santa brought me new earphones. They work a little too well--I think they are noise cancelling, so not safe for running, even on the non-motorized greenway. I pulled off the rubber earpieces and it worked fine. 7.5 miles in the snow and quiet. It was beautiful.

Hi all, and Merry Christmas! Sounds like everyone's having a great day.

We flew out to Oregon yesterday, briefly passing by Dan, sort of, in Seattle before a quick connection at Sea-Tac. It was a long day for sure. But I got a good night of sleep last night I was ready to hit the roads this morning. We're actually staying at SIL's place in Hillsboro, about 20 west of Portland. I don't know this area as well as the city so I checked Google maps for a few minutes and then just struck out to see where my run took me. I ended up doing about a 6.5 mile loop. 45 and damp...after what we've been experiencing back home in DC that felt downright springlike.

Enjoy the rest of the evening. Hope St. Nick was good to everyone. I'll find out in a little while whether I've been naughty or nice.
