On this day in 2007 the Pats finished the season undefeated, first 16-0 team....don't make me a liar!

Since I hit the pool last night, no swim this morning. Just got in from a mid afternoon 11 mile run. First half was nice, second half was a little tougher than I expected.

Enjoy all. Get those final 2007 miles in, time's a wastin'!

Good morning all.

Jim - Nice run out there.

Me, well I woke up this morning with 30% chance of rain. Decided to wait a little to decide to go for my ride or not. After drinking and hydrating ready to go I took another peak outside and the dark clouds were rolling in. Decided to ride once again on the trainer in the garage. Plan was 17 mile in under an hour. Put in 17 mile in 55:53, works out to be 18.3 MPH. I put it in the big ring and pushed hard once every three miles just to give me some more burn.

After I finished the weather forecast changed to 80% of rain all day. Glad I made the decision to stay in and ride.

No workout today got to the pool it lurky really murky and cold, the hot tub looked warm and inviting. So i soaked for an hour.

The pats need to lose, and have an asterik placed by their name, for cheating and getting caught. They may go undefeated but will be remembered by everyone as a bunch of cheaters. Yes everyone cheats but they got caught and have to deal with now.

Another rest day. I dressed to go out for a run with BrewDad and nearly did a faceplant on the ice-covered road. I turned around and went back into the house. Got to commend you folks who deal with real winter. The salt trucks finally came out **after** I finished my shower. Roads should be good to go tomorrow. Hockey game later at the Joe.

Just a run for me today. Garmin is totally lying. It's giving me 8.9m in 1:12 which is a 8:11 pace. I'm so not that fast!!!

I got back home and hubby greeted me with "What? Just a run today? No swim?" Please tell me what that means. Am I working out that much that a long run is slacking off?

It's been a tough week. Grandpa died on Christmas day. I went up but got there too late. Came home THursday and spent the day buying decent clothes for the kids, went to the doctor (sinus infection and bronchitis), and baked cookies/sweet bread for the reception. We were expecting 75-100 people, so that was a lot of baking!!! Then back up Friday for the funeral. I was able to run Wednesday and Thursday, but no swim/bike. Bummer because I got new booties for Christmas and was cutting the sole for the cleats when I got the call... But, it was the right thing to go up and be with Grandma and help my aunt plan everything.

Hope I can join in on the daily training update, as I need the motivation to finally get back into a training regime and get my @$$ out the door.

Going to go out and attempt to run in the latest bout of winter wonderland here in Madison. Its currently snowing lightly, it snowed six inches yesterday, and all thats on top of the 28 inches plus that we've already got this month. Damn snow.

Just gonna go out with the goal of doing an easy 2-3 miles. Don't now how well the roads, sidewalks are cleared. Damn snow.

Welcome Jahona!!

Big plans for me today if the knees can handle it. Once DW returns from her run, I'll head to the gym for a swim bike run workout. The bike will be pretty light, though - no sense pushing my luck.

Go for the championship today Peeps!!

I did a bike ride AFTER Sheldon yelled at me to get on my bike.
I was supposed to go 2.5 hours...but I miscalculated my route and went about 2.
Was supposed to run for 40, but my arch blisters from my orthodics are KILLING me.

Have a footie doc appointment on Wed.

I already sent these fuckers back once. Looks like they need to go back AGAIN!

It's trying to rain here....off and on drizzle....a long run doesn't sound fun, but I'm supposed to do one.
Maybe I'll go out for about an hour or a bit more....we'll see.
I need to decide soon, as the light will start to fade in a few hours, and then the trucks will roll around and make me "askeered" despite my "please don't squish me" lighted up belt.
Tithers, I have heard so many orthodic stories like that. Best case is it takes time and trials. Worst case is it never works out. Good luck.

Hey Ho! New daily thread for me... Wahooo!!!

Watched BC (the wife's all-that-matters) hold on to beat Michigan State last night - but the beer consumption and the predicted rain put the kibosh on this morning's running plans.

So... Made it to the YMCA for a late morning sweat... Got 30 minutes (club limit) on the Elliptical followed by 30 minutes on the stationary bike.

Jeebus...if I was only allowed to have 30 minutes on an elliptical, I'd stamp my feet and fart really loud or something. I need at least an hour.

{{{4boysmom}} so sorry to hear about your grandpa~

This morning I went with the group for a 12 mile run, which involved some fun trails. I say fun with a bit of a twinge; I'm not feeling the best as I'm fighting a cold, so I think I seriously overdid it. Everything just hurt after the run, so later I took my daughter to the local pool, and I soaked while she swam. Feeling a bit better now, but I'm off for a nap, and tomorrow I'll take an unplanned rest day.

2 hour "mega monster slam down" spin class. Was a little concerned about doing this as I was sick yesterday, but CC has me doing HR sub 140 so I figured if I could behave, I'd be ok. I was fine.

I think it's funny our spin instructor thinks "2 whole hours" is a long time She's awesome sping instructor, but totally doesn't understand 3-4 of her regulars are HIM or IM distance Tri folk... we do her class as a warmup to our run! One guy total swam 1mil, did the 7:30 spin, ran 15min, did another hour spin, then went and ran 45min more, came back for another 15min spin. Hehe, I bet she thought he was taking a break!!

40 minute run on the treadmill, easy endurance effort, 7:40s with 1% incline. Too icy on the road. Just watched the Badgers beat Texas by one point in the best basketball game I've seen in a long time! GO BADGERS!!!!
