kfuller - 8 plus what? Have a good long run?

I am out in New Jersey at my brother's, driving out to the Poconos this afternoon with my dad for the expo/pasta dinner. Got in a little shakeout run this morning. I've got a bit of a scratchy throat that came on the last couple of days (great timing, huh) but nothing to hold me down. Could be rainy tomorrow and maybe a little warm toward the end, makes me very glad that I am not doing this for time. Getting ready to tough it out on a nice, scenic course, seeing jill at the end, and finding out how my dad did in the 5k.

Hope everyone's having a great weekend!

Ug... "long" run today. Headed to the metro park where I ran round and round and round again. Got a late start and was afraid it was gonna be a cooker. Luckily it clouded over making it just stupid humid. Enjoyable little trot but I can't believe how much running fitness I've lost. 6.7m, just under 9pace.

Hi everyone. I went to a 5k this morning. It benefits the homeless. The race was tiny, but fun. So tiny that my lackluster 24:11 was enough for 3rd female overall.

11 miles on the 'Stanky Creek' trails this morning. Very slow, but thats probably what I needed.. felt like I had a few more miles left in me at the end. Plus the trails were pretty muddy and technical... I liked em tho.

Nice running all. Best of luck tomorrow zrun. Hope you get decent weather.

Got out for 6.6 Garmin miles. Managed to scrape under 8mpm pace. Super duper windy. Upper 40s but felt warmer due to high humidty.

Hey all,

Looks like a nice one in Oregon today. Gotta go help out with packing up the apartment of DW's GM this morning but that probably won't take more than a few hours. So I might get to stick a run in after all today. Oh, and tell me this doesn't sound familiar...driving up to the cemetery yesterday, we go up a mountain through this ritzy part of the city called Pittock Mansion. I keep looking out the window and seeing these single track trails shooting off the road and all I can think is I've got to get back here for a run sometime. A runner's brain is always locked in, isn't it?

Nice running all, sounds like some humid weather back east. Good luck tomorrow, zrun! And your dad too. You'll love meeting Jill. She's totally cool but we all know that already. ;)

Hello everyone.

Finished out a great week of trail running with 8.5 hilly trail miles this morning. I hope Apple isn't too mad about how hard these trails were.

Definitely looking forward to seeing zrun tomorrow. It's been almost 2 yrs since I've seen him in person. (Hawk, I met him at Philly when you and I met in person. Same day, in fact. And thanks for those kind props.)

Zrun- 8+ plus about 4 or so more.

The plan was to go out and run 8 miles and stop at home and get some fluid. My brother and I had some gatorade in the mailbox. It was just shy of 8 miles at that point. I ended up doing another 4 miles. This is my longest run ever. 12 miles 1:44:53(8:44). The last few miles were the fastest and my feet surely felt that at the end. Overall it was a good run and I feel like I am about 100% after being sick.
