Tropical Storm or Noreaster (depending where you live) Noel caused my running buds and I to decide against running in wind gusts to 40+mph. It's fierce out there!

We went to the Y instead and I did 7 miles on the treadmill, real easy since now I'll run long tomorrow.

Man, I got up at 5 a.m. for nothin' -- but tonight's extra hour of sleep will make up for it.

Watchign the Trails was amazing this morning. Ryan Hall looked so comfy the whole way. I couldn't believe mile 18 and 20 I believe, 4:32 and 4:35. Oh ya...nearly all the rest were from 4:4X -4:5X. He's gonna be an amazing marathoner with even more training...I wonder just how good he can be.

Had my first run for the start of track training. Maybe a bit too hard for the moment. 5.66 miles at 7:42 pace. It didn't feel hard, but not exactly easy either...I think I'll be a bit closer to 8:00 pace for the next week or 2 and then come back to runs like this. Also did some form drills and strides which I also think I'll temporarily hold off from. Good to be back out there though...

Good running all! I completed 18 miles this morning and was able to get back home to see Ryan Hall finish up the Olympic Trials Marathon in amazing form. This guy has the potential to be really special at the marathon distance.

Enjoy your workouts!

Hi. 9.5 miles for me around the usual neighborhood loops. Sorry to hear about the 40+ mile winds. Sounds daunting. You are a trooper to run on the dreadmill, Sistergoldenhair.

Well, I was sorry to hear about the fatality at the trials. What awful news.

Tonight was kind of a mental toughness night. It was a rainy, windy, cool night.

I kept telling myself you might not run well, but you will build some mental toughness.
Run Segments
