I would do the LR today. One of the things to consider with any schedule is that just because the schedule says to do X on any given day, you can be a little flexible with it. There are runs that are more important than others. Generally, the most important run is the LR for the week. Then there is a run of secondary importance, and the rest is easy miles that are intended to maintain fitness and give the body a chance to recover. Missing a midweek 2 miler is not as harmful to your goals as missing the weekend LR, because that 2 miler is intended to be easy recovery and not tax the body. The weekend LR, on the other hand, will stress the body so that it will adapt to the increased load, and result (gradually, over time) with increased endurance.

Boy that was wordy. I hope you get the idea.

For me, today is a rest day. Ran the last four days in a row, 4-5.5 miles east each day. Nine planned for tomorrow. It is the coldest weather of the season here today.
