Morning all.<br><br>
So there's a phrase that's really been motivating me over my entire year. It's a little corny but when ever I heard/hear it it really reminded/reminds makes me push it. During mile 18 of the Philadelphia Marathon someone on the side of the road had a big sign with the phrase on it. I was starting to waiver a bit during that point in the race and once I saw the sign I knew I'd make it in. I kept repeating the phrase over and over again in my head.<br><br>
Well last night I decided to make the phrase a part of me forever. I've always wanted a "traditional" American tattoo and this was a great way to combine my phrase with the Eagle - which means many things to me.<br><br>

Morning peeps. Up way too early for the time I went to bed last night. It's a good thing, though. I have stuff to get done around the house and also in terms of running errands. Hey guys! I've been meaning to get on for the last two days but haven't had time.<br><br>
Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving. I ran my Turkey Trot (which will be in a RR regarding my last 3 races in 11 days) came home and quickly began prepping my turkey and getting it in the oven. Once that was done I was peeling sweet potatoes, regular potatoes, etc and before I knew it my folks were here. My dad looked at me strangely since I still had on my running gear including the felt/feather turkey butt pinned to the bottom of my shirt! Jumped in the shower came back down for appetizers and then it was time to eat. Needless to say I was beat by the time everyone left. I fell asleep at 8:30 while watching TV with Avery.<br><br>
Yesterday I just caught up on my Tivo'd shows and laid around all day. Today I did some cleaning and I think my mom and I are taking Avery to see <i>Enchanted</i> for a matinee.<br><br>

Busy day here. DH just took the girls to a local park to have pictures done with their cousins. It's about 30 degree. Brrrrr!<br>
We have DD2's 5th birthday party today. We're going to make treasure boxes at an art shop. Should be fun. After that, it's off to my in-laws to celebrate Hanukkah a little early. Then, I will sleep!<br><br>

Just me and the boys today. My wife and DD are at a cheerleading competition (staying at a hotel about 5 minutes from CoachT as far as I can tell) so it is boys day here. So far, we had chocolate chip pancakes, and we have been abusing the game cube <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.kickrunners.com/forum/images/smilies/biggrin.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="Very Happy"> Making home made pizza later, and they are lighting the Christmas trees on our town green this evening so we will be there with hot cocoas - it is fraking cold here. It was 16 when I woke up. Christmas trees should be neat. The local Chamber of Commerce likes to claim that we have the largest town green in New England, which is basically a lie. But it is nice.

Ok, so I was playing around on Facebook, searching through members who went to my high school when I came across a few I know. Oddly (because this did NOT seem to fit him in HS!), one is now a Baptist minister at the church around the corner from where we grew up! The other was a guy I knew pretty much since elementary school and we even went to the same college. Heh. I just sent him a random message. From his page, I gathered he's a runner since he talked about being in NY for the marathon and in one photo had the Peachtree Road Race shirt on. He's probably gonna think I'm a complete dork (since I was one all through school) but whatever. Seemed like a good idea at the time!<br><br><img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.kickrunners.com/forum/images/smilies/redface.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="Embarassed">

I am on my second day of super-lounge-fest. Though yesterday I got out on my bike, went for an early dinner with my best friend (is it not sad that she has approx. 2.5 hours where she can get away before baby-who-won't-take-a-bottle needs her?) We pack a lot into the few hours of respite whenever she can get and it was just so nice to see her and have a good visit. (Kind of like how I felt last weekend...)<br><br>
I got a brilliant idea for a room renovation last night (yes, there was booze involved), I have to go scope out what it would take to purchase materials and do it myself. I suppose I should do a few other things too, like finish some of the other ongoing projects, finish winterizing the place, etc. But that room is going to be SO COOL!<br><br>

We had two nice turkey dinners, one at a friend's house on Thursday and another one here yesterday. Too much good food to list!<br><br>
Today we're going to watch our game vs. UCLA (at UCLA) on TV up in a room in the stadium. My friend bought a fundraising package from a booster club for a catered party for 100. They'll put the game up on the big scoreboard as well. Should be fun. Later on tonight we've got a home basketball game, so today will be busy.<br><br>
Oh, and my car was stolen yesterday. I posted a thread in the PRT about it yesterday. No word yet from the police. It's having the positive effect of making us think about whether we want to be a 2-car family or not.

Good morning, friends! I slept hard last night and I actually woke up before my alarm this morning. How often does that happen? Almost nevah!! No running this morning, maybe I can get a run in later today. I have the funeral and a luncheon to go to, not sure what the plans will be like after that.
