Today was my running club's annual "Run Your Turkey Off" fun trail run. Ran @6 miles of mostly trails, followed by lots of great, warm food. 19 degrees this morning ... broke out the long undies for this one!
Brrr, Jen, that sounds cold! But very fun.

I really had a blast during today's workout. It's a beautiful bright sunny day and about 40 degrees, with a north wind about 12 mph. I did 15 miles with the last 5 at marathon pace. I had a very hard time keeping in easy pace and marathon paces today and felt like I was holding back the whole way. I think that is a good way to feel during taper.

I'm still fighting a cold, and it's encouraging to know I can still run well being at less than 100%.

Good runs and days to all!
Sounds like a lot more fun than sitting 2 1/2 hours in synagogue. Did you guys miss me?

I just did my 3.3 mile hill run, very slowly. A pleasant 30 degrees.
Hey, EQ - didn't you used to post the weather data too? That's my favorite stat!
I must have forgotten to put it in today Arrojo.

just a run? 52.7? wow -that's some run there EQ! My 'just a run' runs are more like 5-6 miles.

like today - 6.50 miles . . . just a run
Just a run was made up of several runs. I call the run type "Just A Run" because well, it's not speed work, it's not Hill Work, etc., it's "Just A Run".

By the way, I'm at 2,370 miles for the year right now. Shooting for 2,600 miles for the year.
A bit late to post, but here goes anyway.

Nice thing about vacation is I'm getting more sleep than normal. Still on Eastern time, I woke before everyone else. Tried something new by taking a yoga session (DVD) before the run.

Clear and calm 30F at 8am in the central valley of California. Ran about 10 miles, or 77 minutes.

I'm not sure if its the extra sleep, the yoga, or the fact that I've run once in nine days, but I felt extremely fresh this morning. Although I did not have a measured route, I know I was running faster than an easy pace. The calf issue non-existent today.

Tomorrow I'm meeting some KR'ers in the Marin Headland for a hike!
