<p>Trails were solid ice this morning, and was grateful for the screws in the shoes. Temps were right at freezing and we had light snow or rain for most of the run. Broke thru the ice 2 miles in and got a soaker.... making me glad I always run long in wool socks.  The group initially planned to turn back a bit before I wanted to, but decided to hang with me for another mile.  I split the difference and got in my extra distance at the end of the run. Had a chance to chat with an older fellow that turned out to be a long-time ultra runner who's training for this year's Comrades race. </p>

<p>10.2 miles total.  Slow, but I'll take it!</p>

<p>Heme - that sounds so cold!!   We have our local ultra runner who is early 70's.  He's run comrades after turning 70.<br><br>
FB - what did you do to your foot?   I had to wear a boot 4-5 years ago because of achilles</p>

<p>1 hour on the ellliptical today plus errands.  Going a friends house tonight and watch Hood to Coast with our local relay team.   They run the Texas Independence Relay every year.  I ran it the first year with them but haven't recently because it's always close to my marathons.</p>

<p>Hiya KS, I'm here. I just haven't felt chatty this week.</p>
<p>Today I ran 6 miles with the gal I met at the RainDeer Run in December.  Now there's a talker! Fine with me. I saved my breath for running and it slowed her down a bit.</p>
<p>Temps in the 30's here, clear today, very nice running weather.</p>
