It's only 4:20 am here right now, so too dark to run outdoors. Besides, my legs feel like trash after yesterday's hilly outdoor run, so I will just do a short TM run in an hour or so.

Good Saturday long ones to you all.
Day of rest for me as well!!!! But only because i go to work at the crack of dawn

SGH- you can be my virtual long run buddy tomorrow.
You got it. I'll be thinking of you and pretending we are running along together and chatting and the miles are zipping by. You know, like they will at Umstead!
I'm going to be joining Meri and SGH in taking a rest day. The body feels surprisingly good given that I've done 4 days in a row for my last 3 running cycles.

As for tomorrow, I've got nothing on SGH or Meri. I'm going to be a wimp and just do 10 (with maybe 2-3 at tempo pace).

Enjoy your day folks! For those running today, make it a good/safe one.
got in 4 hours this morning. DW was going out for the day, so I had to be home by 9:45, so it was an EARLY morning. still a bit cold and windy by the water, but the skies were clear and sunny.

made it home at 9:44, jumped in the shower, fixed a pot of my favorite tea, and probably spend the rest of the day playing candyland and chutes and ladders.
7.5 easy ones on the TM.
No bonking today/only the usual pits

I'm still all stiff and twingy and nasty tho...time to roll around some more

I think we've played a dozen games at Candy Land, and he keeps kicking my a$$. I feel gyped anyhow. When I was a kid, the last space on the board was a solid color. Purple I think. Now it's a rainbow, so there's never a hold up to win.
So today on my long run the temp was about 29*F with a Wind chill of 14*F. Gusts of up to 35mph. A beautiful February day in New England (actually, it wasn't so bad because there's bright blue sky and sunshine which makes all the difference). But not really the kind of day I expect to see two bicyclists ride by!!
That's all right jen, they probably didn't expect to see someone running today!

So, how far did you go today?
That is so good to hear, duckgeek!

10 miles for me along the beach path. 40 degrees and sunny as can be. The rain left everything sparkly bright.
Vacation is over, and it is time to start building miles.
I did my piddly 45 slow minutes on the mill today! Foot is good today. But now that dang asthma thing is going on and I cant stop coughing!

It WILL get better!!!

Looks like lots of folks hit the road for some good runs today!
