Wow, 2:30 pm EST and no workout thread yet.

Long run today, considering I had an upset stomach earlier this week. Am happy with my run of 10.25 miles. Pace was a little slow, due to an extra walk break, just wanted to get the dist in though. Good luck everyone today

This time tomorrow I will be somewhere on the bike I believe.

This morning: I was up around 5:30AM, just staring at the ceiling. After the pre-race meeting last night I decided that it would benefit me to take part in the pre-race swim in Tempe Town Lake this morning. So I headed down, threw on my wetsuit and hopped in. HOLY CRAP! The water is cold! 61F!!! It took around 10 minutes for me to get warmed up and feel OK. I'll tell you what, I am going to swimming fast just to get out of that water tomrrow and warm up.

After the swim I checked-in my bike and gear bags. It was so seemless and easy. I did a walk through the Ironman Store and decided to hold off buying anything until Monday (Finishers gear!!!).

As for the rest of my day, I am laying low. Just watched Liverpool beat West Ham and will probably just chill out and watch some TV or maybe a movie. I feel good and ready; I am excited to get up and do this race. Bring it on Arizona!!!

Good luck tomorrow Miles! Turkey Trot for me today, 5k in 21:35 which is pretty much what I've done for every 5k I've ever done. Mildly annoying, but oh well. Didn't win a turkey, either.

good luck, Jamie!!

two hours of a ferocious azz-kicking at pilates - I have a few makeup classes to do, so I went to a mat class and stayed for fusion after (an equipment/mat combo). good news, my hip felt way better than it has in a while, especially with one exercise that always hurts. bad news, not sure I'll be able to move by tomorrow. we started AND finished the second hour with plyometric stuff on the reformer. ouch.

When I told them at the front desk, they said "its supposed to be around 84F" Are you kidding me?!?! I had to cut my workout short, just couldn't do it.

DD even said it was too hot (she's 11) - and we both know that it hasn't been that hot in months. phooey.

Yes. 84°F is way too warm for a pool. Nothing to do in that but take it *real* slow.

Monica...WOO HOO! Hope it feels okay tomorrow.

@miles. Oh yeah forgot to tell you about that one. Water is cold :) Its a fast swim though because of just one loop limits the turn and first turn is about a mile down. So it opens it up before any turns happen.

2500 yds, group swim today, 5 x 100m ranging from 1:28, 1:29, 1:29, 1:31, 1:31. about 90%. That's about 1:18-1:19/100yds at least on the first two, I think that is better than where I was last year, but I need to get to 1:20/100m on the fast ones.

then 45 minute group pylo routine.

Wear two caps, it will help you stay warm.

Put a silicone one (if you have it) under the race cap. They're thickier, and don't pull your hair so much as you yank them off.

If you don't have silicone, just put a regular one one underneath.

Make sure the cap goes down over your ears, too.

Have a great race!!!

zojmn - 84 for a pool is WAY too hot. That sounds miserable!!

We had a decent storm blow through today, but around 8:30 this morning, it stopped, so I took Bailey the Wonder Dog out for a quick 3 miler. Well...the skies cracked open and we got soaked. But she seemed to enjoy herself, as did I. I find running in the rain so peaceful and calming...it was quite fun!
