Salsa and cheese don't last long in my apartment.

I like Herdez Salsa Casera, from the plain old grocery store. What I love about it is that it's not all sugary and vinegary like many bottled salsas.

four great big heirloom tomatoes (peeled and diced)
a bunch of hot peppers, chopped (I like to mix serranos and habaneros)
one great big white onion, chopped
a couple of cloves of garlic, minced
salt and pepper
a handful of cilantro, chopped
juice of one lime
a sprinkling of cumin
1/4 cup vinegar
