Morning my running friends. My leg is a little stiff so I might take a running rest day. I will lift later this morning and stretch and see how I feel.

Good morning Ron! Hope the leg loosens up. Enjoy your weekend!

I'm starting to feel a little better, I was able to get some sleep last night. Ice and Ibuprofen seems to be helping so I think I'm heading in the right direction.

Right now I'm waiting for my youngest to come home for the weekend. I finally found a decent used car for her and she has no idea that I have it. Her first car served her well but is falling apart and not worth trying to save. At least I know she'll hace a safe car to make it through the winter.

hi guys!

Ron - hope your leg is OK. Hope it was feeling alright after lifting. Have a good rest of the weekend.

Sudsy - just watched those videos! How cool and exciting for her! Did she have any idea that she was getting a new car? Glad to hear that you are feeling a bit better.

No run for me today. Busy day with the kids - soccer, shopping with dd12 (always an interesting event) and other errands. I am enjoying this no training plan and no race in the near future but I can't get too comfy in this mode. I need a goal! I am really thinking that the Sugarloaf Marathon might be the race for me (May 20th I believe). I loved the Vermont City Marathon but Sugarloaf is so much closer and easier on the family. I'm also planning on a 10mi race in Feb and maybe the Hyannis HM in late February. Have you ever run that one Sudsy? I might even consider the full marathon if I'm feeling really crazy ;)

Hope you all are enjoying a nice weekend!

Hi Sisu! DD had no idea about the car. When she pulled up and found out it was hers, she burst out crying (which is why she didn't come out of the Jeep right away. She was truly surprised! The "new" car is a 2001 model with 100,000 miles on it, but the owner bought it new and had every single service done on it at my old dealership and then to my current dealership when I moved over. Every major service is up to date, including timing belt, waterpump, brakes, battery, tune up etc. and the body is dent and rust free. This should have a few good years left in it.

Yes, I've done the Hyannis race and it was good one. Well organized and some nice scenery, although weather could be a factor. Hmm, that might be one worth considering for me also, although I don't think I'm ready for a full yet. A half would be attainable and also give me a goal to keep things going through the winter. Right now I'm itching to get back to running, but will relax one more week. I'm feeling better and want to keep it that way! Glad I have a workout room to keep me busy, anyway.
