Suds - Congrats to DD!! You must be so proud of her.

I got a short run in while dd was at lax practice. After that ds had a baseball game. Now I am cleaning the house while dh does the yard and the kids are playing. We finally have some sunshine. Tomorrow is busier than I had planned for since we just found out about a make up game tomorrow morning and then we have the usual lax games in the pm.

Good morning!

Well, it's the 22nd and the world is still in one piece. Looks like it's back to work tomorrow as usual.

Yesterday was a great day. The sun was shining and the temperature was cool, a perfect day for the gaduation. All went well and we had a nice dinner afterwards.

Andi, good luck with all the activities today. I hope it clears up, it's gray and damp out there again.

Ron, enjoy the rest of the weekend!

Paul...congrats again and sounds like your family had a wonderful day together!
Andi...enjoy the kid stuff today!
Ron..hope you guys are enjoying the beautiful CA weather!! Is Fer there? Tell her hi!

Its sunny and nice here & I am going to do some cleaning and then get out and enjoy the day! Going to try a lil jog today...my toe is feeling better! It was marathon wkend here...I was still bummed that I didnt get to run but had a great time cheering on friends and family! On Friday night my 66yo dad ran his 1st 5K! 34 minutes...ds3 and I went out to cheer him and I am so proud of him! He had a great time and enjoyed it and is planning his next one..thinks he may try a 10k! :) Yesterday DS3& I went over to a friends who lives right at mile1!! She had a band in her front yard and we had a great time cheering all the runners on!! Saw so many friends. We also headed to the finish line later as DH was running the last leg of the relay so we saw him come in and finish. It was very humid and I dont think many runners hydrated like they should have...saw a lot going down as they crossed the finish line. One friend of mine who ran the half said she saw 3 go down just in her last mile!! that is something that always worries me a bit...my kids are usually at the finish line and I cringe when I think they could watch that happen to me! it's hard to watch even when you dont know the runners.

Hey everyone!

Paul - congrats to your dd and I'm glad that the weather was good for you.

Ron - so exciting that Fer will be there for the whole summer and that the girls will there soon, too! :)

Staci - congrats to your Dad! That is just great! I'm glad to hear that your toe is feeling better and I hope you are back to running soon. Hydration is always my challenge and I think I finally figured out how to make myself drink enough. Last year at Boston when I ended up in the med tent I decided I never wanted to do that again!

Andi - hope all of the games went well this weekend. Next weekend is the marathon, right? Are you getting excited?

We spent the weekend in NY and yesterday at the West Point graduation. Our nephew graduated and it was quite an honor to be there to see it all. At the end of the ceremony the cadets toss their hats and kids are allowed to pick them up. Two of my kids got hats and they are very excited about that - ds has been wearing his since he got it.

I got a 10.5mi run before we left on Friday morning and it was really tough and I'm not sure why I was so tired. I am not sure about my 25k trail race next weekend - should be interesting to say the least!
