we didnt get much snow at all so that is good, just a lot of wind and cold!! roads are extremely icy still but I need to get the hell out of this house...we are all cranky and feeling shut in!! Off to the library, lunch and a movie!! I look out my windows and still see mulitiple feet of snow in our yards, and its making me feel very irriatable...I do love the coziness and peacefullness of winter here but after 4 months of this shit, it makes me want to run away! Hard to believe that spring will ever come!!

Hey friends! Gave up FB for Lent and am going through with drawls so I thought I'd check in here! :) Haven't been running, working through some injuries and getting physical therapy and ART so things are improving. Got a GREAT deal on Bikrum (sp?) Yoga here - 1 month unlimited visits for $29!! My chrio thinks it is perfect to help me get moving again. I have been in the water a little too but nothing major.

Sudsy - How long was your run? Did you take the Tank man?!?! Have a good nap!

Andi - When is your next race? I wish I could see you guys!! I have been reminiscing about RI 1/2 M last year!! :(

Andi, great run this morning! Looks like a good race coming up for you!

SB, wow it sounds cold! We are warming up here and I'm more than ready for some nice weather. You guys have a hell of a winter-I don't know how you do it!

Hi Nicole! Glad to see that you're getting some workouts in. I was just thinking about that race the other day. It was great to finally meet you. Hopefully we can do it again some time! This mornign was a 6 miler but it was on the tm. Maybe I'll take him out tomorrow for a run but I'm scheduled for 12 so I may have to do a short loop and then drop him off. Andi, Heather and I are racing on the 27th. They'll be doing the HM and I'll be attempting the 20 miler. Looking forward to a nice day for that one. We're still trying to talk Sisu into joining us.

Hi all!

What a day! I ran 17.5 miles this morning! yay! I had terrible knee pain that stopped me at 12 miles and I stretched and regrouped for a bit and was able to run 5.5 miles more so I have no idea what that means. My leg feel good tonight so I guess that's a good sign. Maybe there is hope of me getting through Boston in one piece! The wind was crazy today and we had to run into it to cross a bridge over the ocean and I swear it almost knocked us over! The good news is that it was in the 40s and the snow is melting!

SB - those cold temps are nasty! I'm glad that you didn't get much more snow, though. I hope your butt is OK and that you had a nice afternoon!

Andi - Nice running today! you are going to have some great races this year :)

Suds - hope you had a good nap and that work wasn't too bad. 6 miles must have felt like nothing for you - good job!

Nicole!! Nice to see you here. Sorry to hear about your injury but I agree that yoga is great! I swear that ART and PT have become part of my normal routine now! haha. Glad to hear that they are helping you.

I am totally wiped out. After I got done with my run and ice bath I got roped into taking dd11 and her friend to the frickin mall. I HATE the mall. We walked around for 2 hours and it was torture but the girls had fun. I also got to eat french fries at the food court so it wasn't a total loss! Have a good night!

Hey Friends!! I hate to post this for your NElanders but we have had an ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS weekend here!!! Mid 60's, sunny w/ a nice breeze.... I talked DH out of going to a movie last night and we took the dogs on a 2+ mile walk to the bark park and back. Best part was, hips and back didn't bug me really at all during the walk and I feel great today! I just finished clipping coupons on the back deck, have the windows open and am trying to substantiate doing housework on such a beautiful day when all I want to do is be outside!!!!

Sudsy - where I am now based on where I was last year at this time is absolutely pitiful. I so wish I could come back up there and run RI again!! That was SO much fun!! I will never forget freaking Heather and Andi out when I started screaming when you showed up!! :)

SB - I can not imagine being in your weather right now. OMG you must have the worst cabin fever!! Hope you enjoyed your run tho!!!

Sisu - I have been going to the ART guy at least once a week for the last 2 months. I LOVE him (but only professionally!!) :) He used to be a NFL Linebacker and is HUGE which can be very scary when he is adjusting you but he sure knows his stuff!! I am finally starting to be more pain free but I honestly don't know how much running will be in my future. :( I may be stuck w/ 5K's for a while. I've been in the pool though and the yoga should be fun. Hope the dogs necks are staying warm!! ;)

Ron - Good to see you! Hope all is well w/ you and yours!!!

Nicole, sounds like perfect weather for a nice walk!

I took Tank out for a 7 mile loop, dropped him off and then did another 5 to finish up my 12. That was the longest run I've taken him on and he did great. Even with several pee stops, one poop and several curiosity sniffs, he averaged out to a 8:54 pace. Not bad at all! My final 5 was a bit faster, but today I felt great.

I saw Andi running while I was with Tank and would have joined her, but I didn't want to mess up her pace.

Andi, cute picture of DD in the paper yesterday!

Sisu, sounds like you're strong enough for Boston, just relax and have some fun. Post marathon beer on me!

You have GOT to be kidding me!! It's a beautiful day, we are playing outside and find this baby garter snake but DD6 isn't home to see it. So we put it in a terrarium so that she can see it when she gets home. BUT when we went to get her, one of the stupid cats knocked the terrarium over. You can guess the rest of the story..... I think it is behind the dishwasher.

Hi all! Back from 6 outside...14* but sunny and just a little wind so not too bad!! Actually took my gloves off on the way back (wind was behind me!). feeling better today..it feels good to see the sun and get outside! They say this SHOULD BE the one of the last days of cold temps we see! Keeping my fingers crossed..tomorrow we should see 30's!!

NICOLE!!! So good to see your smiley face on here again! :) Missed you! Hope you start feeling better soon!! Sounds like things are starting to get better! Too funny about the snake! I would have already packed up and checked in at the local holiday inn!! :)

SISU...great job on the 17.5!! So happy the knee is doing ok and glad you survived the mall!! Did you drink wine when you got home?? :) I bought ds2 some jeans at hollister 2wks ago and need to return them for a different size..they are STILL sitting in the bag in his room! I hate the mall too and actually wanted to get out there this wkend to exchange the jeans and find something to wear to my cousins wedding next wkend...it didnt happen! :)

SUDS...nice run today and tell Tank great jjob as well! I hope you rewarded him with a treat! :)

Nicole - glad to hear that you are doing better. too funny about the snake!! Do you think the dogs will find it? I am so jealous of your weather! I still think that I should be living in a warmer climate but it might be hard to convince my family to move at this point.

Staci - nice job on the cold run! Isn't it funny how you can start out a run like that feeling really cold then eventually you find yourself without gloves on? I do that all the time. YES! I did drink wine last night. I deserved it dammit

Sudsy - sounds like you had a great run today! It seems like Tank is a great running partner. I'm going to hold you to that post Boston beer!! I plan to hang out in Boston after the race this year since who knows when I will be back there again. I do plan to just run it for fun this year with no goal at all except to make it to Boylston St and then that ice cold beer (or two).

Ron - another busy baseball weekend for you! Glad you got a run and some weights in.

I didn't run today and now I'm feeling guilty. I ended up cleaning my house and running some errands and then I just lost my motivation. Ds will be home with me again tomorrow. Poor kid still had a low grade fever today and has a terrible cough.
