Good morning!

Nice to see some people back here!

Sisu, I dropped to the half also due to my hips bothering me. I would suggest emaoling the RD asap to get into the half. ( I could use a pacer at the half-just sayin'.) She emailed me back and asked if I still wanted the jacket for the full or the tee shirt for the half. I'm keeping the jacket.

I've been doing some light running, I think I need a bit of recovery before the half and then I'll take it easy for a while to see if I can correct this pain situation.

Have a great day!

Well why is it so EASY to fall off the wagon but so HARD to get back on! Everyday I wake up and say I am going to run today and by the evening I have come up with some excuse why tonight wont work! :( Mostly I am just pissed at myself for being so lazy this summer and dont want to run now because I know how much it will suck when I get back out there and cant run more then 3 miles and feel like a slow fat slug while I am running!! Need some serious motivation right now! Need to find a fall race and register maybe?? too late for the half I wanted to run but maybe a 10k in Oct would be ok??!!

Hope everyone gets some good runs in and has a great day!!

Hi all! Happy hump day! I ran an easy 3.5 this morning, and I'm hoping to get another short run in this evening after work.

Suds-I'm sorry you are struggling with the hip pain. Hopefully you'll feel ok for the half. It's nice that the RD let you have the jacket anyway.

Staci-Just get out there and do it!!! It's going to make you crazy until you do. Yes, it might suck a little at first, but you will feel so much better after!! :)

You guys are right!! There are 2 races I am interested in..one is a 10k the same day/race as the half I wanted to do but I already bought ticks for a concert out of town the night before and am not sure if we will stay over or not...but then found a 15k the end of Oct that looks good! Thinking that one would be better....a little longer distance then I was thinking but have some more time!! Will register tonight!
