Good morning!

Run and workout done, now ready for the day. It's supposed to get hot and muggy here today and a little worse tomorrow. Oh well, it's that time of year I guess.

I'm already tired from the run so I think it's going to be a long day.

Let's do it!

Good morning! Gym day today. Lots and lots of deadlifts. And my legs were still a bit sore so I can imagine how they will feel tomorrow.

Suds - Nice job on the run and workout. It is already warm out there and in the office. I'm tired too! Sunday I can sleep in!

Fer and Ron - Good luck with the move. I hope you both had good runs yesterday.

Suds-Sorry you are feeling a little tired. Hopefully you'll get energized as the day goes on. How hot is it supposed to be there today? It not exceptionally warm here. I'm not even sure it's going to hit 70 today.

Andi-Good job on your workout. Your legs will probably be a little sore, but the results are worth it! :)

My run was ok yesterday. I managed 5.5 miles and my foot wasn't bothering me too much, so that is good. We have 11 days until we start moving in to the new house. It's a quite a bit smaller, but it has a huge backyard for the kids to play in, and a half basketball court, which will be great because right now we don't have any yard at all. I plan to keep everyone outside all summer long!!

Hi all!

I went to bootcamp this morning and it was a great workout. After we finished our indoor circuits we went outside to do a killer hill workout. We did a lot of uphill sprints increasing in distance each time followed by running backwards back down. I haven't worked that hard running hills by myself ever! I love this class. A woman in class asked me if I was a runner and she said "I knew it! I could tell you are a runner" Not sure why she thought so but I'll take it. :)

Paul - hope the heat is OK in the shop. Are you over your cold?

Andi - sounds like you had a great workout this morning - good job! Here is a question you don't have to answer if you don't want to - have you gained weight since starting bootcamp? I rarely weigh myself and today I was about 5lbs heavier than I used to be and i'm hoping it's from this class.

Fer - I'm glad to hear that your foot was OK on your run. Did you say that you are having bunion issues? The new house sounds great! I hope to keep my kids outside all summer too :)

My kids will be home shortly then we have a running meet for dd10 and then both dds have lax practice tonight. Last night was a band concert for dd12. I am SO ready for this school year to be over so that we can just have fun without all of this scheduled stuff.

My girls will be here about noon and I am so excited I can hardly stand it!!

Susan-That sounds like an awesome workout!! Yes, I am having issues with bunions. I could tell one was starting to develop a couple of years ago, but it was not getting any worse until I started working again, and now I am having quite a bit of pain from it. My grandmothers' bunions were so bad, and I know it is genetic. I am scared to death of having to have surgery for it eventually.

Hi Andi! Sounds like a great workout! Gotta love that dead leg feeling!

Hi Fer! Yeah, I have the "10 miles done by 4:30am" blues today. Starting to feel better since I had something to eat. It's not too hot in the shop today, but a little muggy. Thursday will be rough in here I think. Nice job getting in that mileage! And good luck with the new place!

Hi Sisu! Wow, nice job with the hill work! Just think, that mountain will be a breeze for you next year! Yes, my cold is pretty much history, just an occasional cough. Enjoy the rest of the day!

Sisu - I have not gained any weight, have actually lost 8 pounds this year. But, I had gained a bunch over the last 2 years and I have really cleaned up my eating so you can't really go by me. If your clothes are still fitting you, then I would think you have simply built up a bit of muscle mass. Remember, a pound of muscle takes up less room than a pound of fat.

Fer - I hope your foot feels better and you don't need surgery. That sounds very painful.
