Good morning! I went to bootcamp today. The box jumps were tough but overall I am feeling pretty good. I will try to fit a short run in after work.

Suds - Woo Hoo - we are half way to the weekend.

Lee - You will do great tonight!

Sudsy - feels like it should be Friday to me! Hope you have a good day. Are you guys supposed to get snow on Friday?

Andi - Good job at bootcamp. I keep forgetting - are you running VT?

I'm a bit sore from bootcamp yesterday but not too bad so I'm heading out for some hill repeats. It's finally really nice out without a whipping wind so it should be fun.

Good morning Andi! Nice job at bootcamp, it must be those box jumps giving you that extra power during your runs!

Good morning Sisu! Enjoy the hills! I actually like doing those, it takes a lot out of you but it's a good hurt. Yes, we have more stupid snow coming.

Sisu - Yes, I am running VT with Lee and Marianne. I'm excited for it. Have fun doing your hills today. Oh, what is the sandal you wear? My neighbor is having some foot issues and needs some good sandals for the summer.

Suds - I do think that the workouts we do in boot camp have helped me to become stronger and faster. I heard we may get all rain instead of snow down here. Not that I want 2" of rain either.

Susan, saw you were running a 10K in NY. Is that Lilac Festival?? Let me know, I am probably doing that one this year.

I am hoping any snow coming up turns to rain. It finally hit above 40 for the first time in forever yesterday and sun is shining again today.

Morning my running friends. I had a good work out last night and I will work out again tonight. Work is crazy busy but that is good right?

Good Job Paul on getting back at it.

Andi way to go about bootcamp. You are in such great shape.

Susan good luck with those hill repeats. How long and high is the hill?

Hey John.

What a good run! I ended up doing 7.2 mi with 5 long hill repeats. They were killer but it felt good and I worked hard. My legs were definitely tired from boot camp yesterday but that's good.

Ron - I have no idea how high the hill is - it's a dirt road near me and the hill is definitely more than 1/4 mi long. It's actually pretty steep for the first half and then it's just challenging after that. I didn't wear my Garmin so I don't know. Yes, it is good that work is busy!

JB - No, it's not the Lilac Festival 10k. We will most likely do the Great Race again in Auburn and the leg I do is the 10k. I have to get revenge on that course because last year I totally blew it and I'm still pissed about it. Less than 3 weeks - you ready??

Andi - I think the shoes you are asking about are Chacos. Really comfy footbed with a good arch and they are good for wearing in the water, too.

Paul - I like hills, too. I really like pushing myself like that and feeling spent when it's all over.

Nice job on the hill repeats. I have not done any hill repeats per se, but my work route is quite hilly and I usually hit it hard at least once a week with negative splits. And we always have hills in our Saturday route, so that's prob the least of my concerns. I'm more concerned about a good weather day. I am def feeling ready. March will be my biggest monthly mileage since I started running marathons and probably my best build up overall. My friend just posted that he badly strained his calf doing intervals which will prob blow his Boston this year. Needless to say I am taking no big risks from this point out. Mostly easy weekday runs and maybe a marathon pace or slighlty slower medium long run Saturday. The Auburn race looks fun.

afternoon everyone!!

No running yet this wk..have a horrible cough..felt like crap! today doing better..so will try to bike tonight. Went on monday to bike and started to cough so quit after 10 min and went home. Have had cfroup/pneumonia going thru dc so hoping I dont get it. I feel better but dont want to push it and have my immune go down and get worse! this has been a long crappy winter is so many ways. I am very behind in half training this spring! my longest run to date is 6 miles...thinking about switching down to the 10k instead!

andi I second SISU's recomendation on chaco sandals!! Love them and they are great..last forever and so comfortable to wear! I am buying another pair this summer!

Sounds like you are gearing up for another PR! I am just the opposite - this is the least I've ever run preparing for a marathon and I have absolutely no goal for Boston. If I could defer to next year I would but I just have to go with it at this point. I plan to have fun and not run too much slower than my slowest marathon. I hate it but that's the way it is. There isn't much else I can do. :)

Staci - I hope that cough goes away soon. A pedi sounds great and you deserve it!
