Hey Paul

have a good Wednesday - it's all downhill from here! (I remember someone yelling that at the Boston Marathon after the hills in Newton - it didn't feel that way to me, though!)

I might head to the pool today to attempt to swim some laps. It's been a while so hopefully I won't drown or cause a scene. Have a good day!

Morning my running friends!

tried to post yesterday but this site was messed up kept locking up on me and was taking F-O-R-E-V-E-R to load anything on here! busy wk around here,,,,have not ran since sat and wont get a run in tonight either! Tonight I am meeting a good friend for burgers and beer so it is worth it though! Running has been slim to none lately and the bad thing is I am not getting any other type of workouts in either! ! By this sunday I will have been to 6 football games this wk alone! J has 2 games, D has 2 flag football games, going to the HS homecoming game on Friday night and NDSU has home opener on Sat..( we get season tics) Sunday afternoon we have been invited to friends to watch NFL with others in our couples fantasy league if I can even stand to watch more of it by then! This will be my schedule until mid to late Oct! so hoping at some point I learn how to juggle all of this and still get my runs in! J caught a td pass at Mondays game and made up for the fact that he had forgotten to tell his parents there had been a change in game location and had a friend txt me as I was pulling into the parking lot at game time...had to drive back to town to get to correct field and made it about 5 min before he caught the pass! If I would have missed that he would have been dead! 15yo boys! UGH!

Good morning SB! Man, you sound pretty busy, but sounds like there's a lot of fun involved.

I had problems here yesterday too but thought it was just me.

Good luck getting in those runs, sounds like a lot of juggling for you.

Morning my running friends. I will work out tonight. This morning I had to drop Jennifer off at the airport. She will be gone for a couple of weeks. No Bueno.

Morning Paul I can't wait for this week to be over.

Susan I hope you have a good swim. I am sure the only scene you would create at the pool is you in your swim suit.

Stacy I know how you feel. Last night three kids had different practices. Life is crazy but I wouldn't have it any other way.

Thanks suds!! I saw that your 20 went pretty good! thats awesome! it is prob ok I am not doing much running...when we camped over labor day wkend, 1 of the nights got fairly chilly and I was too lazy to get up and turn on the heat so I was curled up in the fetal position most of the night and that aggrevated that stupid butt muscle! I can run up to about 5 w/out it bothering me but def feel it durring the day again now too! UGH! So frustrating and right now I dont have any extra time to get to chiro! football is fun...watching ds play flag (6&7 yo) is a HOOT and a half!

Wow Staci you are busy!! Have fun tonight with your friend

Ron - sorry to hear that Fer will be gone for a few weeks. You're pretty funny about the pool. No one ran away or covered their eyes when I walked in to the pool so I guess I didn't cause a scene! haha

Swam for 30min and didn't drown. I also tried some pool running but my knee decided it didn't like that so I came home and made some guacamole and proceeded to pig out on chips beans and guac. ooops!

gotta go get kids off the bus!

JB - I wear a foam belt thing that gives me just enough buoyancy so that I don't sink and I just try to mimic good running form. My gym pool has a bunch of these so as long as the old ladies aren't using them all for aquasize I use one. (you could also use a foam noodle under your arms or I've even seen people run w/o flotation devices) No, your feet do not touch the bottom of the pool which feels odd but it works. You can do intervals and whatever you want to do to make it more interesting. Today I used a pool lane and just ran back and forth from the shallow end to the deep end and back, etc. It's boring but you can get a good workout.

homemade guac sounds yummy! I made some labor day wkend and devoured it! but Susan it really goes best with beer!

JB...I have tried the foam noodle and then bought the bouyncy belt! Def a lil spendy but if you use it and plan to use it worth it! more comfortable then the noodle...but the noodle works if you dont want to spend the money! My belt has been getting dusty in the garage for 2yrs now! I always say I am going to use it...def a good form of xtraining even if you are not injured!
