runrmommy.... So sorry about your back

It's probably running related, but you did carry sick Munchkin a lot this past weekend. Wonder if that could have caused it

Get better soon sweetie!
YIKES!!!!! I'm glad you're OK.

One of my husband's partners broke his arm last year slipping on ice.
I can't believe my weather today. High won't make it above freezing and it's spitting snow out there right now. Yesterday it was 75 degrees!!!!
I know! I slipped on ice about 5 years ago and had a minor tear in my ACL Not fun.
Andi.... I've been thinking about you everytime I go outside and feel that blast of freezing damp air in my face. I don't see how you run in your weather! You ROCK
Awww Jen, thanks for those kind words of support and understanding. I do feel sucky complaining though, because DH's career allows me to stay home with the kids and provides financial freedom/benefits. He's a wonderful man, father & husband and has given up a lot for us. He never does anything fun for himself (golf, hanging with friends) because he already feels so guilty about his long work hours. He was also elected the President of the Alabama Chapter of Cardiology which means 4 to 5 Washington, D.C. trips per year. I think he's proud of that, but regrets that it involves so much travel. Anyway, just wish he were around more to help with the family stuff.

I think each & every Mom in our group is AMAZING..... we juggle life every day and somehow make it work. I feel lucky to be a part of this group of strong, smart, funny, beautiful women (who love to run!). You're awesome Jen.

QOD: Who thinks V-Day is stupid?

OK... hope I don't offend anyone who enjoys this holiday I would feel bad. It's just that it's so dang commercialized and sappy. My DH is good to give me flowers "just because" and that makes me happy. However, I don't want him feeling obligated to give me roses, candy or a gift because it's February 14th. And, I don't want to feel pressured to put on a sexy nightie and have a wild night either! Maybe I've just grown cynical in my old age
QOD (part 2): Do you get your kids a V-Day gift? If so, what?

I usually get the kids a small box of candy and a small gift. For example, DD is getting the soundtrack to "Across the Universe" and Monkey is getting a Webkinz.
You already answered Part 2 of my question. Thanks Andi!

And I agree with you.
